In some brilliant news, the Wisconsin bills AB195, AB196, AB977, SB323, and SB915 have all been killed due to the legislative session ending! We have timed them out, and they lost their window!
Another Bill, ID HB675 is also dead in the Senate!! 🎉🎉🎉This was a bill attempting to outlaw transition-related care for minors, declaring such practices as "genital mutilation".
In less wonderful news, Arizona bills SB1138 + SB1165 are now on the House Floor. They only require one more vote before returning to the senate and going to the Governor. These are a bill banning transition-related care for minors and a sports bill, respectively
Kansas SB484 has passed the Education Committee and will be entering the Senate floor for a vote. This is another sports bill, banning based on "biological sex", without a clear definition of how that shall be determined.
Minnesota has a new bill, HB4282, that has been introduced and referred to the Education Committee. It is once more, an uninspired sports bill, this time relying on an unaltered birth certificate to determine "biological sex"
Finally, Louisiana started their legislative session on Monday and has introduced HB570 and SB44. As is the theme today, the first is a transition ban for minors and the second a birth certificate based sports bill.
