TORTURE IN DYNAMO SPORTS HALL IN ATYRAU

On 8 January 2022 at about 11:00 pm armed and masked SOBR officers (the Special Rapid Response Unit) and police officers broke into the house of Duman #KENZHEBAI, a local master of ceremonies.

They immediately threw him to the floor,and when his wife began to ask them questions,they threatened to shoot her and his children down.The SOBR officers intended to take Duman barefoot with just underpants on him,but after his wife's demands they allowed him to get dressed.

He was brought to the District Department of Internal Affairs of Atyrau after which he was taken to "the chamber of horrors" (the sports hall "Dynamo") where he was beaten by 15 SOBR officers who jumped on his head, pulled him by the hair and kicked him in the ears.

When the police officer attacked me, I fought back to defend myself. Otherwise, he would have thrown another grenade hurting even more people.

So far, there is no information whether the perpetrators responsible for torturing and beating Duman were arrested and held responsible for their crimes.
