@kylegriffin1 @JohnCornyn was Texas Attorney General 2002-2003; he refused to defend the constitutionality of the Texas sodomy law - still on the books today - the Supreme Court declared unconstitutional in Lawrence v. Texas (2003).

On the record, someone should ask each one why they refused to defend the constitutionality of the Law of Texas.

They both own Lawrence, Windsor (2013), Obergefell (2015), and even Bostock (2020).

Quit while you’re ahead.

This concerns House leadership, not as a Member of Congress.

Similarly, if elected state-level officials are also ignored, and nobody notices, is that the soft bigotry of low expectations?

Rather sad, actually.

If the community has lost confidence in elections, perhaps they should consider voting Against incumbents in the future.

Back in August 2012, then-President Obama actually said, “red line,” one of the greatest strategic blunders since President Bush 43 choosing to invade Iraq in 2002-2003.

You want to keep them guessing.

Keep them guessing how you will respond.

When Obama said, “red line,” he was obligated to respond after they crossed it.

Otherwise, America would have lost credibility, at minimum.

@aravosis Individual NATO members, by themselves or with others, may choose to get involved, but are unlikely to do so without NATO okay.

Why?

Because if Russia attacks a NATO member acting on its own, well, maybe other NATO members will invoke Article V, or maybe not.

@aravosis Seriously, NATO member(s) choosing to declare - and enforce - a No Fly zone over Ukraine 🇺🇦 would be a major escalation and a Big Deal.

That requires political approval from each country, as is correct.
