10 Years ago I was a Madkhali Wahabi Salafi Mujtahid Alhamdulillah now I am a Muslim who aspires to follow the Qur'an and Sunnah upon the understanding of the pios predecessors
[🧵]
I remember when I was first introduced to Madkhalism back when I was around 15 (my family isn't Madkhali).. I was desperately looking for something to be upon, I wanted to practice and learn Islam and I just wanted to feel high spirituality (I wanted to get closer to Allah)
The first Madkhali caller was Abu Khadeejah and then I started listening to Bin Baaz, Ibn Uthaymeen, Rabī' Al Madkhali, Hadi Al-Muqbil Zulfiqar Memon and many others.
What I was attracted to was the outset of Madkhalism. The way they look strong upon their Manhaj and they looked like they loved Allah, His Messenger ﷺ, the Sahabah and Ahlul Bayt immensely.
They then taught me how Ash'aris 'rejected' the Book and the Sunnah and how they disregarded the Salaf and they would only focus on their intellect alone.
They taught me that Ash'aris were rejectors, philosphers and were upon the same methodology as Jahmiyyah hence why from 15-18 I would warn against Ash'aris.
I would call them Jahmis without actually realising that they were the ones who refuted Jahmi ideologies which doesn't make sense at all.
I then sensed when I started reading the books of these Madkhalis Salafis and when I later saw them saying in 'To say Ya Muhammad' and that generally 'calling upon other than Allah is shirk' (without actually understand the difference between specific and general Hukm)
and many other blizzare things that they used to say about the great Shaykh Taqi ad-Din as-Subki Al-Ashari really shocking.. I had to ask myself.. "How can I take from people who literally misuse verses and declare the believers mushrikoon?" "How can I take from Innovators?"
So then I was just remaining silent about it and one day a brother invited me to a masjid in Azhar. I used to go there every Friday and after going there for a couple of months I really and truly saw that they do not reject anything from Allah, His Messenger and companions.
I haven't seen anyone defend the Qur'ān and Sunnah like Ash'aris do, his they wanted to keep orthodox and stick to what the prophet ﷺ said, with the understanding of the Sahabah and their students..
I was shocked at how many of the sayings of the Madkhalis Salafis were lies about the Ashairs and totally misconceptions and manipulation.
Then I started getting into the Aqeedah of the Ash'aris and one thing I noticed is how they didn't explain things in accordance to their emotions or their desires, everything was referenced from Qur'ān, Sunnah and common sense, explained by the Salaf.
Also the claims that the Ash'aris support Jahmi Aqidah was all lies, funniest thing was the biggest Ashari scholars Shaykh Zahid Al-Kawthari and Shaykh Saeed Fodeh were refuting the likes of Mutazilites and Philosphers and the likes of them even till this day the
Ashari scholars OPENLY refute Philosphers and Mutazilites, scholars such as: Shaykh Saeed Fodeh, Shaykh Hamzah Al-Bakri and Shaykh Ali Al-Omari etc
Learning so much about the life of the prophet ﷺ, the companions, the scholars of the Salaf and learning from their books and what they taught really made me change the mindset I was once upon and has benefitted a lot Alhamdulillah...
Hence why I identify myself as a Muslim, Orthodox Sunni/Ash'ari
Maybe this is all subjective to me but I thought I would share my experience with you guys. A lot more can be said but I'll save it for another time InshaAllah

This 'I' is a person of imagination who had enough time to stand in the shower and think of a good repentance story

This video which was edited by Brother Ibrahim bin Mahmud has missed out a very essential argument the Ahnāf make. It is better to focus on their argumentation and actually listening to their full reasoning before giving Hukm

There is a very good section on the matter of Raful Yadayn from Kitab al-Hujjah ala A'māl ahl Al Madinah from Imām Muhammad explaned by an Ustad from YouTube while he responds to Imam Bukharis book.
I will post the points he makes in a thread by the will of Allah
We don't reject Rasm, no one said we reject Rasm. However, our issue is that one then starts viewing this as non Tafwidh. This is acceptable in our Manhaj and there is no issue in this.
However, then we do not say we are not doing Tafwidh. The least that can be said is خلاف لفظي
As I've mentioned before, our scholars give Tafwidh as the definition of Tafwidh Kulli Al Haqiqi, and this is something we cannot know, thereby we go by only that which is carry out by this attribute as you can see in all of my threads where I quote Maturidi scholars.
What all of these quotes did is just prove their ignorance of the Aqidah of the Jahmiyyah. It was quite clear as stated in their own books that the Jahmiyah
1. Believed Allah is in a place 2. Allah is below the heavens 3. There is not a place free of him
It is then only fascinating that people start using quotes of scholars that say the Jahmiyyah believed that Allah is not above the heavens. Yeah read about their creed again!! They believed he is below the seven heavens. It's pretty obvious why they said so
As you can see the brother in the third picture is denying the negation of limits for Allah, as he quotes away the book of the Mushabbih As Dashti, in which he affirms Allah has limits.
Once again you've proven yourself not to be able to answer the question, we are not even talking about the word استوى here. Moreover, we are talking about the word ارتفاع for which you are not providing the meaning.
Does it mean moving from a lower place to a higher or not?!
Bringing quotes where the Dhahir Ma'naa but not Muraad us discussed won't bring you anywhere. It's a simple question, what do you mean by rising, you can't answer with the same word and say, "oh rising means rising" then you are literally doing Tafwidh because you have تجهيل of
Prime example of you again not being able to stick to the point.
Just finished listening to the discussion of brother @Alminhaji and what I can deduct from the discussion is the following, especially for those who say 'He got destroyed he didn't even bring evidence in regards to Tabari'.
Follow...
At minute 45 he mentions clearly, Imam At Tabaris mere statement of ارتفع is yet kot enough to give us what he himself means by this. I have mentioned this in a thread earlier, the point at Tabari is making by this still remains vague.
He negates that which I understood in the
language and he brings forward the argument against the Mu'attil and thereby says 'why don't you say it's it's Irtifaa' of Mulk and Sultan'. So both the Majazi and the Lughawiyy meaning have been stirred by Imam Tabari.
