#Clienttales 1/3
A prediabetes patient complained of gassiness and bloating post meals. After working with him on his diet -symptoms relieved by 80% and yet some gassiness existed at the end of 2 months.
Now his wife who is a hypothyroid case, wanted to start her diet program
2/3 In her first session yesterday, she too complained of gassiness & extreme bloating post meals. She reached out to her doctor who suggested antacid for a month.
Ofcourse, the antacid relieved her in the last 2 days, but is antacid the solution for this?
So there was #digestion
3/3 Something more that called for in depth evaluation of her cooking methods which is the core problem.
On checking further, got to know that dals were cooked without soaking.
So to conclude - please do wash, SOAK your grains, dals and beans and then cook for adequate time
To prevent straining your digestive systems.
Pls check with the person in charge of cooking meals at home, this essential procedure which can prevent all the family members from myriad of health problems.
Indigestion & nutritional deficiencies following it are real #proteins

@ManMundra Thank you Sir for listing down your current diet and goals. After reading your tweets in response, putting down my thoughts.
What are the adaptations if fasting is prolonged to the point of starvation? A typical well-nourished 70-kg man has fuel reserves totaling about 161k kcal
@ManMundra Stored fuels suffice to meet caloric needs in starvation for 1 to 3 months.
In 24 hours of fasting, catabolism of protein stores is triggered + fatty acids to keep up with glucose levels of blood. 75gms of muscle is broken down in the early stages of starvation.
@ManMundra So protein catabolism does take place and may lead to loss of essential Lean Body Mass (muscle mass), and the tone of your body over a long fasting duration of 4 months.
One needs to know how much of your current diet has total carbs, protein and fibre with respect to your goal
