(2/8) As some of you know, I've been leading partnerships at Zilliqa for over 2 years and recently left to focus on @IgniteDAO. In the last years I've seen a lot of metagames and narratives for Zilliqa and other projects.
(3/8) When Zilliqa went โฌ๏ธ in 2020 it was mostly because of the sharding narrative and it being the first. However, this narrative got cannibalised by @NEARProtocol@harmonyprotocol@ElrondNetwork. What we see now that the 'wisdom of the market' is telling us something different.
(4/8) Taking out tether @zilliqa was #3 in volume in de last days without really any aggressive marketing push. Mostly due to @themetapolis being announced.
People now are starting to realize that the first L1 entering the metaverse space is going to be powerful. Very powerful.
(6/8) The wisdom of the market is telling us that 'the metaverse' whatever this may become or however this may evolve is here to stay and the market is reassessing $ZIL's valuation based on this untapped potential.
(7/8) The evolution of NFTs, GameFi, DeFi, Fan Tokens etc. got a lot of attention. However, these narratives can *all* be plugged into or integrated with Zilliqa's #Metaverse. In other words, it could become the meta narrative of narratives.
(8/8) In the next years, the more @themetapolis expands, adds more users, NFTs, GameFi, DeFi etc., the stronger the meta narrative becomes and the more Zilliqa will differentiate itself and adds value compared to other chains. This time with almost no cannibalisation. Buckle up.

2/9 Let's start with some context. Metaverses have been talked about for decades. Think of Second Life, Sims etc. Let's classify these as web 2.0 metaverses. They have never, and never will IMO, be able to go to the next level because they miss three fundamental ingredients:
3/9 The 1st one is scarcity. With web 2.0 metaverses you are can keep inflating land. With web 3.0 metaverses you are able to create scarcity inside the virtual world. Meaning that everything is an NFT. The avatars, the roads, the emojis, the items etc. This is REALLY important.
(1/5) People usually underestimate social applications and their growth potential like Tiktok, Snapchat, Twitter etc. until they see how powerful their network effect can be.
