4/For those who are immunocompromised, a second booster of the @moderna_tx#vaccine is available 4 months after the first booster dose for individuals 18 and older.
5/Also, for those who received the J&J #COVID19 vaccine, the @CDCgov authorized a second booster dose using an mRNA vaccine at least 4 months after getting their first J&J booster.
6/This recommendation around the J&J vaccine was based on recent data from the @CDCMMWR showing enhanced vaccine efficacy after a booster. cdc.gov/mmwr/volumes/7…
7/Providers in #Maine are already administering second booster doses to those who are eligible. But as with prior changes, it may take some providers a bit of time to adjust their systems to make the shots more widely available.
8/What does this all mean for you?
Don't lose sight of the importance of getting a *first* booster dose. That is really important for enduring protection against severe #COVID19.
If you haven't gotten your first booster, please make that a health priority.
9/If you are eligible for a second booster, you should get one. They are available, free of charge to you, and resoundingly safe.
Data from one large population study showed a significant mortality benefit among those who received a second booster vs. one.
10/Not sure where to go for your #COVID19#vaccine? Here's a place to start your search:

I mean, for all we know, this storm is just being hyped up by Big Snowblower and various corporate shovel interests.
Plus, why all this focus on "plowing" the snow if it's only going to keep falling?
I mean, if you plow, you still have snow. And if you *don't* plow, you still have snow. What's the point?
I though plowing was supposed to ELIMINATE snow hazards, right?
1/There are so many things going on with #COVID19 right now. In some respects, it seems like March 2020 again, even though it's not.
One reason COVID19 is bewildering right now is that no one is going the same speed on the highway.
2/On the highway, people driving faster than you are maniacs.
And people going slower than you are pokey.
3/Right now, in the face of Omicron, COVID is similar.
No two people conceive of their COVID risk in precisely the same way. That creates mismatches of perception, much like driving down a long stretch the highway.
