When it came to the US, it was an adolescent medicine doc often w/o a mental health therapist. Different clinics do it differently.
Q: Advice for organized psychiatry?
A: @jack_turban: We are doing a better job. The key is speed of response in supporting transgender youth. Before, it took years to condemn conversion therapy. Now, it is a timely press release from the psychiatric orgs. Speed matters.
