1. Application Developers

✅ Responsible for converting requirements into working software
💰Highly Paid
👩‍💻 Frontend, Backend, Databse, Full stack developers are specific development roles

2. Software Testing

✅ Responsible for verifying if the developed software satisfies the requirements & has required performance levels
💰 Slightly lower paid than Devs
👩‍💻 Automation & Manual testing are specific roles

3. DevOps Engineers

✅ Responsible for maintaining & creating environments, CI/CD pipelines for code deployment & helping release quality software fast.
💰 Highly paid
👩‍💻 DevOps roles aren't further split but the role covers a lot of responsibilities

4. Application Support

✅ Responsible for maintenance of deployed applications. Perform day to day operations such as health checks, running batch processes & providing reports
💰 Moderately paid
👩‍💻 L3, L2 & L1 support roles are available

5. System Analyst

✅ Responsible for working with developers to analyse new requirements, if & how to implement the requirements, provide estimates. Devs after certain years can become system analysts
💰 Highly Paid
👩‍💻 No further role bifurcation

6. Business Analyst

✅ Gather new requirements. Provide estimates, prepare costing & Release plans. Requires a degree of business & domain knowledge
💰Very highly paid
👩‍💻 No further bifurcation

✅deriving meaningful insight from large data available at their disposal thereby helping businesses understand & improve customer behaviour
💰 Highly paid

Data Engineers

✅ Making meaningful data available to data scientists. They do this by writing data pipelines which aggregate data from various sources.
