A week after the White House acknowledged that Covid is airborne, we have the Press Secretary saying that POTUS wasn’t a close contact with someone who is COVID+ bc of the 6 ft and 15 min rule.
That’s so 2020. Does POTUS still Clorox wipe his groceries too?
We also have the Chief of Staff mocking our intelligence about hospitalizations being ⬇️ in DC despite an 📈 in cases (tho you wouldn’t know there was community spread in DC given the CDC map).
Anyone paying attention knows that hospitalizations are a lagging indicator.
They also aren’t familiar with docs like @DrEricDing bc the doctors that get more “air time” are those that push the narrative that infection is inevitable and acceptable.
So where does that leave those of us who do know all of this?

We’re left looking like conspiracy theorists when we know that WE are following the science.
We’re left unable to argue against what so many have called Covid theater.
The fact is that it was not science suggested to drop 😷, but politics.
Some might say that’s because I have 4 kids under 7 or because #3 and 4 are identical twins that are not yet 2. While that is definitely a factor, nothing is more tiring than misinformation.

The leaders say #covid is better. It doesn’t feel better. The map showing case numbers indicates that it’s not over. I could be wrong, but I’d bet money that, by May, that hospital capacity will show it’s not better.

When the former administration wanted to ignore reality, so many of us (rightly) screamed about it. Now, kids down to the age of 5 can be vaccinated and the country is moving on, dragging our unvaccinated kids under 5 behind them.
