@amnesty @hrw - Conclusions designed for headlines about ethnic cleansing and crimes against humanity which are not supported by the evidence in the report.
- the failure to conduct any on the ground research inside Wolkait before releasing the report. There was no reason to release the report when they did - and in doing so they may well have poisoned the well for them to complete their own research.
- a grossly inadequate background section which fails to even touch on the extensive public record related to the extent of very serious crimes against humanity, cultural genocide and ethnic cleansing undertaken in Wolkait over a period of 3 decades.
- and the timing, which appears to have been intended to try to overshadow/preempt the release of very important new research conducted at the University of Gondar into the crimes committed by TPLF's during 3+ decades of occupation of Wolkait.
