1. Were #KashmiriPandits the first Hindus to face the Genocide?

Do you recollect the Genocide that took place immediately after Gandhiji’s death?

Please watch this video to understand the details.

2. One Nachiket Paranjpe, a resident of Mumbai writes, that he remembers this day specifically. He must be barely 8 years old.

Every evening, Kaka would ask us all children to come home from the playground around 5.30 pm.

It was 6.30 pm that day but Kaka didn't call us.
3. On the contrary, Sunitatai, the factory owner to whom we went to play, hurried from the house to the courtyard & brought us home.

On the way home, a grocery store of some Surve uncle had a radio, everyone was listening to it keenly. (Gandhiji’s death)
4. We children didn't understand why Kaka didn't call us home and why Sunitai left us home in hurry.

Didn't understand why everyone was so tensed.

Didn't understand why was a huge crowd listening to the radio.

And where was Kaka?
5. Kaka didn't come home from work. We all slept and the elders wondering about Kaka.

The next day being Saturday, we wanted to go out and play but Kaku didn't allow us. She asked us to play at home.

Everyone's behavior seemed strange.
6. We knew Kaka hadn't come home from work.

We started playing at home. Meanwhile, a 6 - seater large rickshaw came outside the house.

Father and grandfather took all the packed stuff and filled the rickshaw. Mother and Kaku had packed most of the belongings.
7. Mother, Kaku and all of us sat in the auto rickshaw and left for a place called Thane in Mumbai from Sion.

Father stayed back for Kaka.

None of us understood why we were traveling to Thane.

We went to grandfather's place who stayed with our younger Kaka.
8. Immediately we all were alloted rooms. Normally we played there in Thane, enjoyed the lakes but this time it was different.

The roads were entirely empty. We had never seen this.

Our grandmother told someone that today everything will remain shut due to Gandhiji’s death.
9. 2 - 3 days passed. Neither father nor Kaka came home.

And no one stepped out of the house. Studies, playing, everything was at home.

Everyone was angry and irritated. Nobody spoke well to each other.
10. After a week, father came home alone. He whispered something to grandfather. Grandfather immediately uttered, श्री राम.

Listening to this, mother, elder Kaku, younger Kaku, all came out.

Sudden screams and crying sounds.

Younger Kaku took us all to the next room.
11. Younger Kaku told us that elder Kaka have left to meet the God.

His daughter, the eldest amongst us started crying. Looking at her, we all started crying.

Younger Kaku gave us instructions not to come on the ground floor. She said all food would be provided here.
12. We shouldn't make any noise today.

Her instructions were specific.

Next 3 - 4 months, only father and younger Kaka went out for work. Rest all of us stayed at home in fear.

Father got us admitted to a new school in June.
13. It was only in school that we realized there were riots after Gandhiji’s death.

But none of us knew what happened to Kaka. We grew up and finished our graduation.

My sisters got married and I started working. We all got busy. Grandfather was very old by this time.
14. One evening we all siblings decided to ask grandfather about Kaka.

He then told us about Nathuram Godse & his being the same caste as us.

Kaka was a lawyer in the court. That day when he left court to come home, a huge procession was passing by.
15. Most of these people in the procession were C○ngress workers. They segregated all the Brahmins from the court employees.

From there, they were taken to the provincial office.

Goons were roaming everywhere.
16. 15 Chitpavan Brahmins were taken to Ballard Estate and were asked to stand in a queue.

The C○ngress smashed these Brahmins with a machete and the next day pølice killed them all.

Curfew was imposed all over.

.@SunainaHoley did post this earlier.
17. Father could identify Kaka only by his blood stained clothes and court documents in his pocket.

There was no court case, no Interrogation, no justice, nothing.

This is one such story. Wondering how many such stories are there.

1. When Ms perceive a threat, they find a viable physical solution for it. When the partition of India was on the horizon, they feared possible resistance from Hindus & Sikhs.
2. So, what they did was to militarise an organisation called the Muslim National Guard that they had created as an answer to the RSS.
3. M League went into overdrive to recruit all kinds of people into it: former soldiers from the Army & the INA, men with criminal proclivities, unemployed youth who wished to do something for their religion & hoodlums of all kinds.

1. A Long but very important #Thread if you wish to understand "The Ecosystem"

Why do you think is the Left Ecosystem in India in Successful?

What is this Ecosystem? And how is it built? Why is it successful?

Let's analyze it together.
2. What do people like you & me do? We do our regular office job, earn, spend time with family, watch TV/OTT/YT for entertainment & have occasional trips.

You might think that we all do the same. What's the difference?

Let's take a small example (a hypothetical one).
3. Let's say that I'm a well known VC of an esteemed Univ. I feel strongly that the students should have min 75% attendance in their classes. The moment I think of this, my secretary (who's asked to take a print out & circulate this) will first inform the Stdnts & the Tchrs Union

If you are consistent all through your life with your views, there's something seriously wrong with you. Either you lack imagination as Oscar Wilde famously said, "Consistency is the last refuge of the Unimaginative".
Or, you lack either the heart or the brains as G.B Shaw has said, "If at the age of 20 you aren't a Communist, then you have no heart. If at the age of 30, you aren't a Capitalist, then you have no brains."
But leaving aside these wise men of the past, we, with our common sense would know that if a person holds the same views at 70 as he held at 25, the person is absolutely dumb. Because he hasn't evolved. His mind hasn't got richer.

1. Malicious political propaganda is being spread that exodus of Kashmiri Hindus started when "BJP man" Jagmohan was governor & BJP was in power at Center.

Let's set the record straight.

#KashmiriPandits exodus started in 1989 itself, when Rajiv was PM. Farooq Abdullah was CM
2. VP Singh, Minister in Rajiv's cabinet became PM on 02 December 1989, when Rajiv lost the election due to Bofors scandal. BJP supported him from outside, but did not join govt. In less than two months, on 18 Jan 1990, Abdullah quit as CM.
3. As if on cue, the very next day, posters appeared all over the Valley asking Hindus to leave. Calls were simultaneously made from mosques asking them to 'Convert, leave or die'. The killings began and they fleeing became a flood.

2. they tore my whiskers, hair by hair, & drove an iron rod up my arse. They would tie weights to my testicles & drag me on the floor by one leg, with one man sitting astride my back."

3. This case starts with an arrest of gunners Swaran Dass & Aya Singh in 1975. Both were arrested for Spying for 🇵🇰 but Court martialled for Absence without leave & not espionage.

In 1979 they are reinstated.
