It's not just about #TwitterTakeover.

They don't complain when Soros+Omidyar control the narrative. The "establishment" includes academia, media, NGOs, "fact checkers" and many agents of thought control.

If @elonmusk can challenge this, it's a big step for humankind. Not easy.
So what's your problem with Twitter as a private company under Elon making new rules?

I've considered myself a liberal.

Before I saw liberals become totalitarians who'd crush speech they don't like. Like communists.

And then their inability to follow basic logic. If a private company is not about free speech, why the meltdown about Elon?

Under Elon Twitter would still be a private company. His rules. Why the meltdown?

Spaces like Twitter are tech-enabled public squares with enormous influence on democracy.

Free speech rights must evolve to keep up, not be stuck in 1791.
So amusing.

What if I consider your rants hate speech and you a troll? That may even be "objectively" true. Fact is, you want to preserve your ability to abuse but shut down those you disagree with using the excuse of "hate speech."

There is a belief that good education is the means for progress.

This is not wrong. But how much of our education is "good"?

For a vast majority, it doesn't lead anywhere. Cooks, plumbers, drivers earn more than many graduates.
The reality of our education. The way the system is designed, poor parents sacrifice a lot for the child's education. But for very many, it leads the child nowhere.

Now RTE forces this education, removing opportunity to learn skills via apprenticeship.

Our education does neither. Neither expands the heart, nor does it teach useful skills. These BAs in sociology, political science, even most engineering, MBA, what does it do? Does it nurture the spirit? Provide the skills to even run a vegetable cart?

How the #ChristoIslamic state of India, following its legacy in colonialism, continues to attack and destroy indigenous traditions.

@ysjagan has turned it into shameless robbery for the Christian evangelizing mission. As Christians did the world over.
This was part of Pat Robertson's AD2000 plan, started in the 1990s. It was to shift from foreign missionaries to local missionaries who are cheaper and more effective. They planned this. I started writing about this in 2002, no one paid attention.

The Joshua Project came out of AD 2000 project. They have a war plan to convert India. They've mapped every village, every community. Our response? "Ham sab ek hain" "Secular fabric kharab ho jayega". Such BS. There is a war and we close our eyes.

Absolutely. The “Dravidian” identity was constructed by Christian missionaries for the Conversion War. The DMK and its anti-Brahmin, anti-Hindu hate was fueled for that aim. Similar to Rwanda.
This kind of artificial identity creation led to genocidal massacres in Rwanda. This is what DMK hate is working towards against Brahmins.
Unfortunately unlike in other places where the Left secular discourse challenges Church hegemony the biggest tragedy in India is that a the Left intellectual class has been appropriated as sepoys of the Church for the project of the extermination of native traditions.

The biggest discrimination in India is #EnglishApartheid. The State funds medical colleges, engineering colleges, MBA, High Courts, in English-medium *only*, excluding 90% of the population.

If you care about #SocialJustice why not #Reservation for Tamil-medium instead?
The fact is all the "Tamil pride" of the so-called "Dravidian" parties is for lip-service only. The agenda is English and Christianization. That's the #DravidianModel (itself a colonial construct). That's what the @PWilsonDMK et al fight for.
I thought they made them English medium, at least partially.

Lol. Spotting a fraud. @Sanjay_Dixit had warned about this one I think.

Buddha never claimed to be a "Buddhist." His teaching and ways are steeped in Indian Hindu culture, merely a different flavor. It is "Buddhist" monks who took "Hindu" deities like Saraswati to Japan.
Hindu culture predates the Buddha. Saraswati, which predates Buddha, is carried by Buddhist monks to Japan. Did Buddhists “appropriate” Saraswati?

Buddha himself claims descent from Rama? Why? Because he’s part of Indian (Hindu) culture.

Of course that does not mean that there were not scholarly debates between Brahamans and Shramanas and Advaitins and so many others. But all those debates were part of Hindu culture, not outside of it. They shared a common epistemology.

The only break comes with Abtahamics.

Root of the word "Shahid" or "Shahadat" is Shahadah or the Muslim declaration of belief in Allah and his prophet.

Shahid is one who wages Holy War for Shahadah and dies, getting a fast ticket to Islamic heaven.

Let's not corrupt our language. We have #Veergati.

Since we don't have religious belief based "holy war" there is no equivalent.

The closest would be dharma veer—a warrior for righteousness.

Yes, it has become a part of common vocabulary but we should understand the roots of words we use.

A few years ago I'd pointed out the absurdity of Hindus saying "RIP" and many have changed after that. 😌
