Want to INCREASE the ad revenue 💵 on your #blog?

Here’s an easy approach that’s working well for me…
🧵👇🏼
Advertisers take a lot of different factors into account when determining how much to pay you for your traffic:

-traffic location (US is best)
-device used (desktop > mobile)
-traffic source (Chrome is best)
-the context of the page
-ad viewability
The technique I’ll describe impacts the last factor: ad viewablity.

Advertisers want to ensure their ad is SEEN on the readers screen.

And the longer readers spend on a page, the higher the odds your ads have to refresh = the more they’ll earn for you
Take a look at your blogs “Time on Page” metric.

Mine is 7 minutes and 17 seconds.

From what I’ve seen, this is a pretty strong Time on Page average.

If you can improve this metric, you’ll make more money!

Here’s how: Image
Look for topics in your #niche that are “troubleshooting” in nature. Identify keywords that imply the reader has an issue, or a problem.

These posts DOMINATE when it comes to Time On Page. Because the reader is working their way down your troubleshooting tips, one-by-one.
My top three trafficked posts are all “troubleshooting” topics. All of them have a >8 min Time On Page.

These types of posts pull up my overall Time on Page average across my blog, and help me earn more Image

#Blogging MEGA Thread

2.5 years of experience that took my website to 500,000+ pageviews, and $20,000 a month.

I’m always learning, but here’s what I’ve picked up along the way (so far!)

Hopefully it helps save you some time, and avoid some of the mistakes I made.

As of this moment, I average about 2,177 pageviews/month per post.

But arguably one of the most "valuable" posts on my site gets less than 400 pageviews/month.

That's because it's a LINK MAGNET, (it attracted a highly relevant DR 90 link!)...

If you're not familiar with the term, a backlink is just when another site links to your article, or website.

As more and more RELEVANT sites link back to your content, a strong signal is sent to Google that your site is legit.
Overtime you start to develop more and more "authority" in the eyes of Google. Google begins to see you as the expert in your niche.

The more relevant backlinks you can get, the stronger your site becomes, and the "easier" it gets to rank for certain keywords.

Let’s talk about LIMITING beliefs, and we need to constantly challenging them…

The story of Roger Bannister has been told a million times, and you may be sick of hearing it, but it’s worth repeating…so bear with me.

//🧵👇🏼 Image
Up until 1954, the entire world collectively agreed that running a sub 4-minute mile was IMPOSSIBLE.

Many actually believed that it was actually PHYSICALLY impossible. It simply couldn’t be done.

Humans were “incapable”.
Then along came an Englishman, Roger Bannister.

Roger made it his public mission to run a sub 4-minute mile. He spoke about it regularly.

He BELIEVED he could do it, and when you believe something is possible, you tend to start planning for it…

Here’s how I finally got my mobile and desktop site speed scores to improve… Image
But first, is your site new? Are you getting any real traffic yet? No? Then keep publishing, and don’t worry about this stuff yet!

ABP!!!

If you are getting some decent traffic, read on…
I had a REALLY hard time getting decent mobile and desktop site speeds on my blog until I discovered the “Flying Scripts by WP Speed Matters” Wordpress plug-in

The best part? It’s free!

This is my first #blog, but it’s not my first attempt at a side hustle.

Here’s how I grew an Instagram account to +15,000 followers, and why I quit working on it.

(A lawyer told me I’d be sued into oblivion 😅)

In the summer of 2014, I took a break from studying for the MCATs, and turned on Curb Your Enthusiasm.

If you’ve ever watched the show, you know Larry David loves using what I call “Dictionary words”.
Anyways, as I’m watching I found myself taking out my phone and Googling the word I just heard, because I wasn’t positive I knew what it meant😅😅

This happened 3-4 times before the episode was over.

All my previous beliefs and ideas about money were shattered when I saw Jon Dykstra making ~100k a month from just a handful of content sites online.

Here’s his biggest site making 73k in just one month.

Adopt an abundance mindset - there is no limit to what you can earn
And in case you think this isn’t repeatable…

@NicheSiteLady killing it!…
