Britain treated Jews from Germany in the 1930s as economic migrants rather than genuine refugees. Sounds familiar.
In 1938, Home Secretary Samuel Hoare told Parliament "very careful selection" should be made of Jewish Asylum Seekers to ensure they create jobs for Britons.
2/ From 1952 to 1960, the British used Concentration Camps, in then British Kenya, during the Mau Mau rebellion.
The use of castration ,& denying access to medical aid to the detainees by the British was widespread & common, as was slicing off ears to extract information.
3/ #Windrush - In the last decade, the British Government has deported people who came to the UK in the 60s because they didn't have 40 years of paper receipts to prove residence.
4/ Caring and compassionate Britain even saw Labour in opposition rally against immigrants.
2016 Brexit campaign: "Immigrants bad"
5/ Since the outbreak of the Syrian civil war, which saw refugees fleeing for their lives, the British press have consistently rallied against those seeking asylum labelling them as invaders and now "boat people".
Caring about fellow humans gets called woke & the media love it.
6/ Since Boris Johnson came to power people warned what would happen.
We've seen the rapid Trumpification of UK Politics and media, but oh you're woke of you say that.
I reported the Rwanda story in December and people thought I was making it up.
Now people are surprised....
7/ Amd to prove the current government is basing immigration policies on race, ask them why:
Afghans who helped the UK and are at risk of death is capped at a maximum of 5,000 allowed entry a year.
But
Ukrainians: Unlimited
Afghans who helped will be dead in 5 years.
8/ To finish and I'll finish where I started. Jews in 1930s.
The Kinder Transport children were only allowed to the UK if they were paid for, separated from parents & didn't burden the state. Some were even put in internment camps in the war for writing to parents in German.....

The Russian Defence Ministry claim their forces left Bucha on 30 March, and that footage showing bodies there "did not emerge until the fourth day" when representatives of Ukrainian media arrived.
AFP published images of dead bodies on 2 April, and BBC found videos from 1 April.
