15 years ago, Americans learned about one of the deadliest mass shootings in the country.

32 people were killed and 23 others were injured at #VirginiaTech. Today we #HonorWithAction and remember the victims and survivors. 🧵

Some of my friends were professors at Virginia Tech, and I remember the gut wrenching fear I experienced as I waited to learn if they were safe.

It was an awful day that I will never forget.

Survivor @clgoddard was in French class at #VirginiaTech when he was shot 4x.

Colin later worked with us at @bradybuzz and more recently joined our podcast to talk about what it means to be a survivor of gun violence.

The Virginia Tech massacre remains the deadliest mass shooting on a college campus.

Our youth deserve a future free from gun violence. We ALL deserve to live without the constant threat of being shot.

That is why we must continue to push common-sense solutions.

We can begin with:

✔️expand Brady background checks
✔️increase police accountability
✔️invest in Black and Brown communities
✔️ban assault weapons
✔️ensure gun industry accountability

and so much more.
