Katsuki slowly walked up the stairs, careful not to spill. He peeked inside the room to see his mate laying on bed, tugging at his wet hair

Izuku has been away from home for 3 months now. He's a knight of the king after all- he has people to protect. But after each dangerous mission successfully done or when he had saved up enough- Izuku comes back to his hometown to relax for weeks, take a breath, enjoy life

And last spring, in the village mating run, he won over katsuki.

Katsuki had seen this man in his life many times before. Growing up, when he played knights on the street, he would usually see the new knight from the town, coming back home- looking all tired and gloomy

Izuku soon became the pride and joy of the village. Serving directly under the king was not a thing you would hear easily and becoming his right hand man?- yeah he's a big deal

And seeing how Izuku ran the mating run and only pursued him- makes Katsuki feel special and giddy

But that's not the only part that got Katsuki excited- it was the fact that Izuku had a life outside the village.

There's nothing more in the world katsuki wants more than to leave this tiny village he grew up and finally get to see what outside world looks like

Ponds so big ships as big as a mountain can sail on them? Houses so big thousands of people can live in them? Do these really exist or just a simple myth?

Katsuki took another breath

He wants to see them

" Oi, the hell you doing" katsuki placed the tray on the table, urging Izuku to take a cup

" Kacchan!" Izuku beamed, pulling himself up to be face to face with katsuki " where did you go after the bath"

" To make tea"

" Ohh" Izuku picked up a cup to peek at the contents inside " looks good. Say,do you think I should get a haircut? Like if I cut few from this side-"

Katsuki bit his lips. His mind is so occupied with all the 'ifs' 'buts' to actually listen to Izuku

" So what do you think?"

Yeah- so what does Katsuki think? It's now or never

He snatched the tea cup from Izuku to place them in the table before pushing Izuku down so he can saddle him

This was the only way Katsuki could talk to Izuku while keeping constant eye contact. For fucks sake- Izuku was huge and katsuki's neck literally starts hurting after looking up for so long

" Kacchan, is everything okay?" Izuku rested his palm on Katsuki's cheek, almost engulfing his entire face on the rough hand. " Did someone say something while I was gone? Are you horny?" Izuku whispered, making katsuki blush

" You're getting red" Izuku sat up, pulling katsuki to his chest " are you in heat? Do you need me? I know we're kinda new in this but I can promise I can make you- "

"STOP! fucking stop!"Katsuki pushed Izuku but the older man didn't budge, so he hid his face on Izuku's chest instead"'m not in heat and nobody said shit"

Katsuki could feel Izuku relax against him and he let himself get embraced further and tighter

" Then you just want a hug?"

Katsuki looked up at izuku, chin still pressed tightly against the older man and with the most hopeful voice katsuki spoke " take me with you"

" With me? Sure! Where"

" Outside"

" Outside?"

Katsuki gulped, anxiety getting the best of him " outside. Outside the village-

where you live for the most of the time. I wanna see what you see, wanna eat what you eat and do something much more than just sitting around the house, cook and clean"

It may not look like it but katsuki's have been practicing swordsmanship with izuku's old swords in their backyard. He's not master of the art, but he can be a knight too, he can also serve the country some day, Also be part of something bigger

"Are you sure-"

" It's dangerous I know but I still wanna go " katsuki cut Izuku once again - he just really want to go

" I meant to say, are you sure when you'll be the next chief of the village"

Oh..Katsuki doesn't care about those. What is he even going to achieve here- sitting on the empty throne of no promises. He would rather leave the village to someone who actually loves the village

" I wanna go with you," Katsuki pressed once again.

Izuku looked thoughtful, as if he's considering something katsuki didn't know about

"I can't put you in knight quarter.On top of that you're a pure blood and everything's so expensive"Izuku hummed,almost shattering katsuki's heart"but I've been saving for our pup for awhile now"

Izuku sheepishly scathed the side of his face, making katsuki frown

" I'm not pregnant!"

" I know I know" Izuku defended his point "It's more like a future plan. You're still so young and I don't wanna force anything on you

But I do wanna bring up the topic in a few years and we'll need lots of money for them. But my main point is-

If you wish to come, I can buy a small cabin with the money and maybe we can live together"

Izuku smiled, almost making katsuki cry. He didn't expect Izuku to be so gentle, he didn't expect this to go this nicely, all he wanted was to go outside but now -

Katsuki hiccuped, hiding his face on Izuku's chest

" Kacchan? Are you crying?" Izuku panicked, pulling Katsuki to comfort his new mate."Do you not like small cabins? "

Katsuki shook his head for who knows which one, rubbing his eyes before the tears could fall

" Am I a bad mate for you?" Izuku scratched under

katsuki's eyes, wiping away the redness from it

" Yes" katsuki closed his eyes, pouting " really bad mate"

" Is that so"

Katsuki once again pressed his face on izuku's chest- he would have preferred his neck but he can't reach it- and took a deep breath to calm his millions of emotions raging his heart- fear, anticipation, anxiety, excitement, bitterness- / love/

" Let's be happy together"
