Jones will have to get more honest to make a deal worthwhile. He played a major role not only leading up to Jan 6, but on the day: he led a crowd to the Capitol, then steered them around the building to help build the crowd for the East-side breaches. 2/

Alex Jones has known Joe Biggs for nearly a decade. In 2013, Biggs went on InfoWars multiple times to talk about the mysterious death of reporter Michael Hastings, who Biggs had met in Afghanistan. The next year, Jones hired Biggs as a 'reporter'. 4/

Many #SeditionHunters were worried after last week's acquittal of Matthew Martin (his defense: "Capitol police let me in"), but today DOJ secured a guilty verdict for ex-police officer Thomas Robertson on all 6 counts, including 3 felonies. 1/
Robertson was convicted of "obstruction of an official proceeding" not only for entering the building - that's U.S. Code Title 18 1512(c)(2) - but also for destroying evidence on his own cell phone, which got him a separate count of 1512(c)(1). 2/

So far DOJ's track record is 100% for convictions in jury trials of Capitol attack defendants (2 for 2). The acquitted Matthew Martin - a misdemeanor defendant only - had a "bench trial" before a single judge. (See NPR article; pic from @seditiontrack). 3/

#SeditionHunters - it seems the Proud Boys are flipping. One of the "big four", ex-Marine Charles Donohoe (#YutYutPB), who led over 200 Proud Boys to the Capitol, is copping a plea - see article. Here's Donohoe and the Proud Boys shortly before the rush of the NW Scaffolds. 1/
Here's Donohoe entering the scaffolds, just behind Pezzola (#Spazzo) who soon after broke the first window to set off the Capitol invasion. The other Florida Proud Boys who helped break the police lines have peeled off to the side and are skipping the action - typical for PBs. 2/
Unlike the rest of the "Big 4" of the Proud Boys leadership, Donohoe never entered the Capitol building. He ranks with them, but he bailed out of the scaffolds fight, then stood around on the lawn and never re-entered. So why is he flipping now? 3/

#SeditionHunters and journalists - seems that all parties now agree: the Jan 6 Capitol attack was a coordinated assault, not a random riot. And the Proud Boys are the engines of the attack - but there will be other, more senior groups also uncovered. 1/

#SeditionHunters - the film crew who shadowed Proud Boys chairmman Enrique Tarrio just testified for hours before the @January6thCmte - see thread. Why was Tarrio's arrest so slow? In part, because DOJ took 6+ months to crack his phone. Which is fully of incriminating stuff.. 1/
Tarrio's charging docs say he didn't wipe his phone, just assumed FBI couldn't get in. Surely related to that phone: just weeks before Tarrio's arrest, DC police announced they were suspending a longtime officer who'd been communicating with him. 2/

The crowd had been directed to go to the Capitol by 1 PM, when the Joint Session to certify the vote would begin - but Trump's hour-long delay meant most of his audience stayed at the Ellipse. When the Proud Boys hit the W. Plaza, their backing mob was only 100s, not 1000s. 2/ Image
