Someone asked me, why is $TSLA's stonk price not falling, despite the overall market deterioration, supply chain/inflation, market share loss, legal/regulatory troubles, Musk's Twitter debacle, no product pipeline, key claims failing ("Full Self Driving", solar, batteries)? 1/15
Not trading/investment advice, I do not have a crystal ball or insider info:
$TSLA is a faith-based stonk shown by its fundamentals/ratios. Its fanboys will keep buying with every paycheck as the narrative stays intact. An elevated stonk price engenders faith. That is why... 2/15
...Fanboys are obsessed with "stonk price bro".
Fanboys are largely middle class, white collar, predominantly middle aged/older beta males who have staked their retirement accounts and identities and egos in $TSLA. 3/15
Fanboys get an ego boost by sharing in Musk's success with pumping $TSLA's stonk price, and driving a #Tesla reinforces that ego boost. They feel that their sex appeal is boosted by identifying with Musk and flaunting their "S3XY" cars. They also get offended very easily. 4/15
What Musk does is constantly make new promises, even as old ones fall by the wayside as the years roll by. His lies got $TSLA's stonk price to $1k, and he has to keep promising miracles to keep the faith alive. #Tesla's incomplete Texas and German factories are key... 5/15
...to the faith, as are his battery promises. Even as he shifts his "Full Self Driving" lies, remember that fanboys are not rational, because their egos and livelihoods depend on mutually-reinforcing fallacies.
They simply ignore proven lies, and latch onto new lies. 6/15
Again, it is a faith-based, psychological thing. As long as Musk can keep up the illusion that his lies will inflate $TSLA's stonk price, the faith stays intact. Faith is only shattered when he his lies stop working.
But that goes to the original question... 7/15
How will an elevated stonk price fall, if what keeps it high is that it is... high?
Because $TSLA is an exercise in excess. He cannot rest, he and his fanboys are stuck on the proverbial hamster wheel. Musk's lies have to get bigger and bolder. He has to keep promising more. 8/15
From "Autopilot" to "Full Self Driving" to "robotaxis" to "general AI". From 35 GWh to 100 GWh to TWh and beyond. From a computer brain interface to curing Alzheimers and autism. From shooting rockets to saving the light of consciousness. The pattern is clear. 9/15
The lies have to keep getting bigger and more outrageous.
The entire edifice of Elon Musk's #frauds, and the faith of his fanboys/enablers in $TSLA's stonk price, will collapse when his lies collapse.
How? When Musk gets indicted for fraud, for example. Beta males fear... 10/15
...getting cuffed more than anything. Not just the fear of jail - it is the shock to their precious egos of perp walking as their suburban neighbors gawk. Musk getting cuffed will make $TSLA fanboys cringe about guilt by association.
But that is a bit extreme. What else? 11/15
Sales plateauing and/or Zach not being able to cook the books any more than he already has. Numbers still matter because fanboys fantasize about every car, truck, semi, manservant, and sex robot being a #Tesla. While that illusion is maintained at any cost, faith remains. 12/15
Anything else? Musk getting margin called during this $TWTR debacle. Musk suffers some kind of key person problem. Musk announcing that he is stepping down to spend more time with (some excuse).
When the lies stop working or get reversed. 13/15
But as long as the faith holds, I really do not think $TSLA's stonk price will drop much. The combined buying power of ten thousand desperate beta baggies worldwide blowing their bi-weekly paychecks to pick up "the cheapies"/buy calls is considerable. 14/15
In all, $TSLAQ should be familiar with everything written here. I do not think the stonk price will fall for at least the next few months. Q2 may work out as Zach works more accounting magic. But my gut feeling is that late 2022 is when the stonk price will meet reality. 15/15

🧵 The more I think about it, the more I see how Elon Musk's bid for $TWTR creates enormous risks for $TSLA hodlers. There's no synergy. Musk has no business plan except Muh Freedom. He did no due diligence. He made the "offer" by texting $TWTR's board chair. $TSLAQ 1/4
He's going to gut @Twitter's management the way he gutted #Tesla's. $TWTR's general counsel and CFO will suffer.
He says he'll do this by maxing out stock margin, which exposes $TSLA hodlers to enormous downside risk without any positive benfits except to silence/dox critics. 2/4
$TWTR's just one more distraction - a highly politicized one at that - for the narcissistic sociopath.
All for what? To get at a bunch of random nobodies in $TSLAQ? To mock @SEC_Enforcement? And if he backs off, what'll be the excuse? 3/4
Dear @missy_cummings, congratulations! May I humbly propose some recommendations for a national autonomous vehicle testing policy: 1) All companies testing/marketing anything that suggests autonomy (e.g. "Full Self Driving") must publicly report all disengagements & interventions
2) Videos of disengagements & interventions should be uploaded to a public server, since they are already being captured by the cars themselves 3) Testing companies should be required to disclose where these vehicles are being tested, and who they're being tested by
4) All companies should be directly and fully liable for any damage caused by the testing, they should not be allowed to push responsibility off onto testers 5) All test cars should be highly visibly and clearly marked as such (e.g. rooftop signage, large font/reflective decals)
Thread on the #Tesla Model 2 Fraud (aka "Fluffy Pillow" h/t @passthebeano)
It's being asked as an earnings call question again. It's simple: Musk LIED. The "Fluffy Pillow" is NOT going to happen for $25k. Musk just hiked the Model 3 SR+ (50 kWh) price to $42k... $TSLA $TSLAQ 1/6
...and that's *with* corner cutting with inferior Chinese LFP cells, killing lumbar adjustments, cheap paint, ersatz chips, not doing brake testing, etc.
Maybe #Tesla can cut $3k more with a tiny battery, but that'd mean a <150 mi. range. Making it a subcompact... 2/6
...might shave only a few hundred in raw material costs. Tesla's cut to the bone. There's nothing left to squeeze.
Elon Musk's strategy behind the #Tesla "Fluffy Pillow" was to use the car as a loss leader. He banked on FSD uptake pushing it into positive margin territory. 3/6
TWITTER ACTIVELY CENSORS CENSORSHIP PROTESTS
A few weeks ago, I protested that Twitter censored $TSLAQ's comments to @GaryGensler. Twitter is now censoring protests of censorship.
Here's what $TSLAQ sees vs. what Twitter actually shows the public. #Tesla $TSLA 1/4
An inside look at Twitter's search API proves that the query has been intentionally marked as "SUSPEND". The protesting thread didn't violate Twitter's TOS.
And that's why, without being able to resort to overt censorship, Twitter uses shadow-censorship instead. $TSLAQ 2/4
It's simple. Perform this experiment running the same search query when logged in vs. running a clean browser/system. You'll see that Twitter censors not only criticisms of Elon Musk, but criticisms of Twitter's own censorship which support Musk. 3/4
Elon Musk's 3 Fake "Factory" Cars 🧵
A flock of #TSLA bots flooded my earlier tweet about how #Tesla used a modded car vs. Musk's claim of a "completely unmodified, directly from factory" car for Nurburging.
Car #1 is this red car, showing obvious mods. $TSLAQ 1/8
Here's Car #2, the second #Tesla Plaid. Note the different wheels, but again, the same opaque tint job & jumbo brake setup. $TSLA $TSLAQ 2/8
Car #2 has plate # BIT 0679. Despite all the mods, this #Tesla Model S Plaid broke down on the track & had to be towed. Tesla literally tried to cover it up, and used an older Model S to try to block photography of the embarrassment. $TSLA $TSLAQ 3/8
Elon Musk's "Leaked" Call Was a Response to the @Apple Car
Yesterday, news leaked of Apple engaging in talks with Korean & Japanese carmakers for producing the Apple Car, believed to be an EV with autonomous capabilities. The target launch date is 2024. #Tesla $TSLA $TSLAQ 1/5
Musk & Apple have a long & complicated history. Jim Keller. Doug Field, who left #Tesla after enduring Musk's abuse to work on the Apple Car. Also news of Musk peddling #Tesla to Tim Apple & getting rejected. Tesla aping Apple's aesthetics & platform. 2/5 siliconangle.com/2020/12/23/elo…
The reasons for Musk's "leaked" call last night are:
A) Game SEO & steal attention away from @Apple
Musk announced more vaporware with fantasy specs (Robo-van, Model 2 w/o steering wheel). That's why Musk said his Model 2 is coming out in 2023 (vs. Apple Car's 2024). 3/5
