Seeks some time
Next candidate called out: Anil Hooda for the post of Hony Secretary speaks
Hooda: Chambers for the lawyers are lying vacant in new building. This is because of the attitude of the past secretaries. I am also among the proposed allottees. I assure if elected we will resolve the issue of allotment of chambers within 3 months.
Hooda: Contest for my post is between haves and have nots. I am ready to fight for allotment of chambers. Are you ???
Hooda: When someone passed away recently, no token of respect was sent by SCBA. There was a hospital which had to be started and it is still being awaited. Parking at new building is needed too.
Adv Rahul Kaushik: Thank you for electing me Jt Secretary thrice. I was always available during the COVID vaccination. We had placed orders for lockers. My agenda if elected: allotment of chambers within 3 months
Adv Kaushik: ILI and ISI can be shifted to somewhere else so that more parking is created. SCBA memebers as HC judges proposal will be taken up. Streamline issues related to filing of matters by registry
Adv kaushik: Hospital needs to be set up near the SC premises. To have a lecture series by senior lawyers. Library to be updated. To ensure hi speed wifi and placement of younger members of bar with senior members.
Adv Manish Kumar: SCBA housing welfare is a topic I have come across with many colleagues. Supreme Towers Association is facing water shortage etc. My next agenda is to have 75 years function for SCBA #scbaelections
Adv Kumar: I will aim to have a fitness centre, health camp. Streamline issuance of proxy cards. List of arbitrators from Bar to be shared with CJI secretariat. We can share notes with Law clerks of judges also. I will always be there with the bar.
Adv Ardhendumauli Kumar Prasad: Last year we lost many of your colleagues to COVID. I must inform work done by us in last year. Every member of exec committee fulfilled the task assigned to them.
AK Prasad: Bar came together to financially support the lawyers. Each and every penny was disbursed to the applicants. Wholehearted participation in sports event showed fraternity. We have installed 8 new ACs and printers in library. Infrastructure revamped
AK Prasad: I had filed a PIL seeking to create a judicial vista having consultation rooms etc and other infrastructural benefits which will make bar self accomplished for the next 150 years. #SCBAElections2022

Sr Adv Ranjit Kumar for the post of President, SCBA: I joined the bar in 1980 and it will be 42 years in SC now. I founded the AoR association with 6 colleagues.
Kumar: many say I am inaccessible and therefore not good candidate. To be busy and practice in Supreme Court we don't become inaccessible. Our existence in this court is because we practice law. This is what I wanted to make it clear.
Kumar: allotment of chambers is pending since three years. I wish to resolve this before May 20 so that lawyers can do up their offices in the 7 week vacation. Who cant be accommodated will be accommodated in cubicles. State of the art medical facility will be provided
Kumar: all of us come from outside Delhi. Therefore we need homes in Delhi NCR.
Kumar:
Sr Adv Vikas Singh for the post of President: After the pandemic of last year, SC is not the same. This is a unique court as lawyers brief lawyers. Advocates leave comfort out of homes and stay on rent here and this physical hearing was a must.
Singh: virtual hearing is only in reciprocity. If Patna or Madras lawyer practice here then we should also be allowed to practice there. I propose amendment to AoR exam rule for exemption of lawyers who have been practicing in SC for the last 10 years.
Singh: very soon we will get a grant by which we will create a club with facilities so that SCBA members can use it and marriages can be held.
Singh: Please elect a strong EC so that we can do what we wanted to do. The elevation of SCBA members could not happen only because the names were leaked to media.

Counsel: They have grounds cited for general cancellation, but for me no specific criteria/ground cited. 21.94L cards cancelled which were given after verification by ration authorities.
One day say sorry, discontinued. Act of extreme cruelty, poor families rendered w/o cards.

Natural justice means notice should be given. On Aadhaar, made mandatory
