There was yet another suspicious #fire in the #Kursk region of #Russia today. It appears to have been quite large. The location is not yet known, nor is the nature of the facility that burned or how the fire started. I will update this 🧵 as more info becomes available. 1/

This video ostensibly shows the same fire in the Kursk region of Russia, but from a different perspective. some social media updates are suggesting that the fire may be at a chemical plant. 2/

To me, this facility that's on fire in Kursk, Russia looks like it's some sort of storage depot. What do you think?
By the way, the facility is on the north side of Kursk city, about 60 miles (100 km) from the Ukraine border. 4/

A suggestion that the facility that caught fire near Kursk may be a pipeline pumping station, not a depot. That could be; I have seen reports saying natural gas is involved in this fire. In either case, this would be more than just some everyday fire. 5/

There have been a lot of helpful replies to this thread which I'd like to share with everyone. I think that, taken together, they suggest that this fire may not have been as significant as I thought half a day ago when put together the thread. Let me explain. 6/
