BREAKING: #Lucknow Court rejects bail plea of Umar Gautam in the 'nationwide illegal religious conversion racket case'. Image
Special Judge NIA/ATS, Lucknow rejected Gautam's plea noting that allegations against him are of serious nature and he is the key accused in the FIR.

Court noted that Gautam is alleged to be indulged in criminal conspiracy with the syndicate which by identifying the weaker sections of the society, minor children, women and persons, creates a feeling of hatred in their minds towards their religion and faith. Image
ATS has alleged that Gautam is the kingpin of this syndicate, which runs an organization called Islamic Dawah Center in Jamia Nagar, New Delhi and according to the documents received, he has so far converted about 1,000 non-Muslims from #UttarPradesh and other States to Islam.
ATS had submitted that Gautam's organization receives foreign funds which are being used for changing country's demographics by converting a large number of people and creating mutual animosity and hatred among different sections. @ISalilTiwari reports

CBI had arrested Mohd. Shahid, Mohd. Rashid, Ashabuddin, Abdul Subhan and Arshad Khan @ Masab on apprehension that in connivance with a #Pakistani man, they were planning to kidnap a rich businessman for ransom in order to finance #terrorist activities.
Subhan and his nephew Ashabuddin had been earlier convicted in a case wherein they were arrested in 2001 while carrying a consignment of RDX, AK56 rifles and other arms in Santhalpur, Gujarat.
Subhan had come out of jail in 2010 before getting arrested in this case in 2013.
