A whole year. It had been one whole year since Izuku had walked in on Katsuki and Kirishima. One year since their divorce. One year since his kids had started giving him the cold shoulder. He knew why, too. He never told his kids why he and their Papa divorced so in Izumi's and-
-Kazuo's eyes, he ruined their family. But other than that, he fed them, gave them what they wanted for their birthdays and Christmas, and gave them their weekly allowance. Izuku would tell himself that he is a damn good father.
Izuku was at work at the middle school, preparing his science equipment for the day's experiment when one of his co-workers, Touya Todoroki came in.
"Knock knock."
Izuku looked up from his desk.
"Oh, hey Dabi. What brings you here?"
"Just wanted to see if you had any extra paper? My art class is gonna kick my ass if I don't have enough for their final projects for the semester."
"Yeah. Second cabinet on the right. Should have an unopened pack."
"Thanks."
Dabi then went and grabbed it from the cabinet.
"So… how are things with the kids? Have you told them, yet?"
"Not yet. They're only 13 and they still should have both parents around. I don't want them to be raised like I was with only one parent around."
"But what about you? How does it make you feel?"
Izuku was hesitant to answer.
"Doesn't matter how I feel. They come first. Now if you don't mind, I'm busy setting this stuff up. I'll see you at the staff meeting after school."
Dabi nodded before leaving. He hated to admit it, but he was worried for Izuku. He just hoped his situation would turn for the better.
.
.
.
It was now time for the staff meeting. The principal, Shouta Aizawa, sat at the end of the long table.
"It seems the board has finally made a decision on who will teach at the new prestigious academy in the United States. For mathematics, they have chosen Ms. Yaoyorozu. For English, they have chosen Ms. Uraraka. For Art, they have chosen Mr. Todoroki. And for Science, they have-
-chosen Mr. Midoriya. You four are expected to give your final decisions at the end of the week. That is all."
Izuku left the meeting room, followed by Dabi.
"So what are you gonna tell the kids?"
"I'll talk to them about it. Let them know we may have to move. I'll talk to Kac- Katsuki first."
"I think you should go. If they are your family, your kids will understand."
"I hope so. I'll see you tomorrow."
"Yes you will."
Izuku then got into his car and drove home since his kids prefered to take the bus home. When he arrived, he noticed he arrived before his kids so he decided to relax in his room before they arrived. Soon, he heard the door open and as he went to go greet his kids, he couldn't--
-help but hear what they were saying.
"Surprised Dad isn't here to greet us. Usually his clingy ass is all over us by the time we enter, huh Izumi?"
"Yeah. That's why I wish lived with Papa and Uncle Kiri. I just wish Dad would just… stay out of our lives…"
"Same. Just us, Papa, and Uncle Kiri. That would be the life. No more constant reminders of how our family was ruined."
Izuku nearly crumbled. He knew his kids hated the situation. But he was unaware of how much his own kids hated him. He's done nothing but try to be the best dad they could have and it wasn't enough. Izuku went back to his room, silently sobbing as he closed his door quietly and-
-pretended to be asleep.
A few hours later, Izuku left his room and grabbed his keys.
"Kids, I'll be back! I have sushi from your favorite place coming so keep an eye out!"
He didn't even wait for a response as he entered his car, driving to the courthouse.
He talked with his lawyer.
"By signing this, you are aware that you are signing away custody and parental rights to Mr. Bakugou and Mr. Kirishima, correct?"
"Yes sir. I am aware."
"Ok. Then tomorrow, you will drop them off there, then and inform both Mr. Bakugou and-
-Mr. Kirishima of the situation."
"Understood."
Izuku then stood up out of his seat and made his way back to his car with copies of the paperwork. As soon as he sat down in his car, he couldn't help but break down. But like he told Dabi. He doesn't matter. The kids come first.
TBC
Here is the first part of the thread based on sammy's drabble. I'm not gonna make Bakugou or Kirishima assholes besides the cheating. Instead, the kids will be the issue and it will only get more angsty from here. Also, haven't decided yet on if this is bkdk endgame or dbdk.
Izuku was on bus duty. He had sub for the day so he took over bus duty for the day to make up for it. He then saw Izumi and Kazuo. He walked up to them.
"Go to my car. I'm taking you home today."
They both rolled their eyes and walked towards the staff parking lot, mumbling under their breath. Izuku then went back and finished bus duty.
Izuku was driving towards Katsuki's and his kids made no effort to even talk to him. When they arrived, the kids realized excitedly where they were, running up to the door and knocking hard on the door. Katsuki opened the door, confused to see his kids.
"What the hell are you two doing here?!"
"Don't know! Don't care! Izumi, let's go see Uncle Kiri!"
The two then pushed past Katsuki as he turned to look at Izuku, who was sitting in his car, fighting back tears. He walked over as Izuku finally got out.
"Deku, is everything good? It ain't my time with the brats."
Izuku took a deep breath.
"I gave you full custody and signed my parental rights to Kirishima."
Katsuki was stunned.
"Deku, why the hell would you do that? The kids-"
"Hate me. They hate me, Kacchan. They think I ruined our family. I can't keep them trapped in a place they aren't happy."
"Deku, you should tell them what happened. If they hate me and Shitty Hair, so be it, but you haven't done shit except do what's best for them."
"It's ok, Kacchan. I have to go to the States anyways. I got the job at that academy."
"Do they know?"
"No. And I would prefer it that way. I won't bother them again. I hope you and Kiri raise them well."
Izuku then got in his car and drove off as Katsuki tried to stop him.
"Deku wait!"
Katsuki tried running after the car and stopped after running out of breath. He re-entered his house.
"Kids! Come here! We need to have a talk!"
.
.
.
Izuku was driving when he dialed Dabi on his phone.
/"Hey, Greenie. What's up?"/
Izuku, through his sobs, responded.
"I just gave Katsuki the kids…"
/"Dude…"/
"I had to do it. I had no choice."
/"Just explain why you divorced that blonde bastard! It's that easy!"/
"No! It's not! They are only 13! I can't just tell them Katsuki cheated! They wouldn't understand."
Izuku was at a red light when he said that and as the light turned green, when he began to go, all he heard was a truck's horn blaring before it slammed into the driver's side of his car. Dabi heard all of this over the phone and began to grow worried.
/"Izuku!? Izuku!"/
.
.
.
Katsuki sat at the dining table with his kids, looking emotionless as his kids seemed worried.
"You ok, Papa?"
"Tell me about your Dad. What is it like living with him?"
Kazuo rolled his eyes.
"It sucked."
"How so?"
"The dude was always… clingy. Always greeting us. Always saying how much he loved us. Like, we get it. Back off."
"And how is that a bad thing?"
"It just is."
"So it's bad that he loves you both unconditionally?"
Izumi then spoke up.
"He was loving to a fault. He needs to back off. Like seriously. We're 13. Not babies. Where did Dad go anyways?"
"Not your business. What is your business is that I now have custody over you both and your dad signed his rights over to Uncle Kiri."
The twins high fived each other.
"Oh, so you're excited, aren't you?"
"I mean, duh! Izumi and I have wanted this since dad divorced and ruined our family."
Katsuki's heart flared up in anger.
"Wanna know a secret? If it weren't for Deku, you wouldn't have the lives you have now. Cause guess what? I didn't want to adopt. I only agreed because I loved Deku. Cause just like him, I would do anything to have made him happy, even if it meant raising spoiled brats like you."
His kids just looked at him in shock.
"So here are the rules since your so excited to live here. You will do homework and chores before you even think of relaxing. You will not treat me or Kiri the way you treated your dad. And you will be giving me your phones until you can prove your mature enough to-
-not treat people like shit."
"That's not fair! You can't do this!"
"Wanna know what's not fair?! Me cheating on your dad and him being blamed for the divorce!"
Izumi and Kazuo couldn't help but laugh.
"Nice one, Papa. Come on, Kazuo. We got better things to do."
The twins then ran upstairs as Katsuki's phone rang.
"Who the hell is this?"
/"Hello, Mr. Bakugou? This is Musutafu Medical Center. This is about Mr. Midoriya."/
TBC
Here is part 2! I hope you enjoy! Next part will have Dabi and Bakugou both at the hospital, confronting each other about Izuku's condition, as well as the aftermath of the crash.
Katsuki was sitting in the waiting room of the hospital while impatiently tapping his foot. The doctor came out into the waiting room. Katsuki immediately stood up.
"Is he ok?"
"Mr. Midoriya is… stable. We had some close calls. It's just a matter of when Mr. Midoriya."
Katsuki let go of a breath he didn't know he was holding.
"If you want, you can join him in his room."
"Thanks."
The doctor then led Katsuki to Izuku's room. When he entered, what he saw made his heart sink. Izuku was hooked to machines, tubes connected to his body. He had a broken arm and leg, two black eyes, lacerations and cuts all over with some held shut by stitches and staples.
Katsuki sat down next to Izuku, looking at him in disbelief
"Holy shit… I'm so fucking sorry…"
A few hours later, as Katsuki stared at Izuku, he then heard the door open and looked to see Dabi, who made eye contact with Katsuki.
"What the hell are you doing here?"
"I'm still the nerd's emergency contact. Why are you here?"
"I was on the phone with him when he crashed. Took me a while to find out what hospital he was at. Didn't expect to see the cheating bastard, though. How are the monster children?"
Katsuki growled, but didn't retaliate. Dabi was right. He did cheat. And after today, he can understand the monster children part.
"Just shut up. If you want to be here for Deku, fine. Just don't talk to me."
"That won't be hard."
Dabi rolled his eyes as he sat down.
.
.
.
After a few days, Katsuki and Dabi were sitting down when Izuku finally woke.
"Deku?! Doctor! He's awake!"
The doctor and nurses came rushing in and ushered Katsuki and Dabi out of the room as they checked on Izuku. After a few minutes, the doctor came back out.
"Ok. He should be able to leave tomorrow. We are just having him stay overnight to ensure that everything is in order."
He then left as Katsuki and Dabi re-entered the room. Izuku looked up at them.
"Dabi. You're here?"
Dabi smiled slightly.
"Yeah. I am."
Izuku then looked at Katsuki.
"No way. Kacchan? We haven't seen each other since what? Middle school? How are you?"
Katsuki was confused.
"Nerd, we were married. We have kids."
"I think I would have remembered having a husband and kids, Kacchan."
Katsuki remained silent.
"I… um… I need to go. Got work and shit. I'll stop by later…"
Katsuki hung his head low, fighting back tears, as he left the room.
Dabi looked at Izuku, whose smile dropped slowly.
"Why did you do that? Why did you fake forgetting your family?"
Izuku looked at him.
"Just giving them what they want. Now they know for sure I won't stand in there way…"
Dabi grabbed Izuku's hand as Izuku broke down again.
"Let it out."

Here's Part 3! Part 4 is coming out later tonight as well so keep an eye out. Next part will feature Kirishima having a small talk with the kids so stay tuned.
It was now Friday and the school year was now finished. Izumi and Kazuo couldn't help but notice that during the final week, Izuku was nowhere to be seen and Dabi was more moody than usual. They arrived home and before they could run-
-upstairs, they were stopped by Katsuki.
"Chores, brats. Now."
"Ugh! But Papa! We've done chores for like a whole week now!"
"Tough shit, Kazuo. You and your sister live with me now and you'll have chores everyday till you move out! Now go!"
The twins groaned as they went to look at their chore list.
"Why does Papa seem so much meaner? We didn't do anything wrong. Right, Kaz?"
"Probably some bullshit lies that Dad told Papa. One last hurrah to ruin our relationship with Papa and Uncle Kiri, most likely."
"What a psycho…"
What the twins didn't know was that Katsuki and Kirishima had overheard what they said. They made their way to their bedroom.
"We need to tell them, Kats."
"I tried. They thought I was pulling some sick joke on them."
Kirishima remained quiet, trying to think.
"I'll talk to them."
"And tell them what?"
"Just… trust me."
Katsuki sighed and fell back onto the bed in frustration as Kirishima went downstairs.
"Hey, kiddos? Can you stop for a second? I want to tell you guys something."
"Sure, Uncle Kiri!"
Kirishima sat down on the couch as each twin sat down on either side of the red head.
"I need to tell you something."
The twins looked concerned.
"The reason your parents got divorced wasn't Izuku's fault. It was mine and your Papa's. We did something very stupid and your Papa ended up cheating on Izuku with me."
They were quiet, but soon broke into laughter.
"Nice try, Uncle Kiri. But Papa already tried that joke on Izumi and I."
They then looked at Kirishima, who looked upset and serious.
"Why aren't you laughing? You weren't actually serious, right?"
They saw the look in Kirishima's eyes and they both had the same thought.
*Oh shit…*
.
.
.
Izuku was officially discharged from the hospital and Dabi had went with him to help pack for the trip to the States.
"I think that's everything."
Dabi chuckled.
"You sure?"
"Mhm."
"And your phone?"
"New number for a new start."
Dabi then approached Izuku and hugged him.
"I'm really sorry again about the kids…"
Izuku remained stagnant.
"It's ok. They're happy. That's all I want as their father. Now, come on. The flight leaves tomorrow and the airport is a whole city over."
They both left Izuku's now empty house as they entered Dabi's car, making their way to the next city over.

There' Part 4! Part 5 will have a time skip and we'll see how everyone has been affected by the whole situation now that a few years have past.
Five years had passed since everything happened and things had changed for everyone. Izuku and Dabi both remained in the States, despite not being teachers for a year. They loved living in New York City and had started a small café-
-together called the "Bluefire Bunny Café".
Back in Japan, however, things had fallen apart. Following their talk with Kirishima, the twins ended up having a falling out.
"Katsuo! Dad and Papa still love us! I'm sure if we ask Papa to let us live with Dad, he'll take us back!"
"Oh really? Dad as in the one who gave us up to our slut of a father and whore of an uncle? The ones who ruined our family? And why be so quick to defend them when you got mad at Dad for 'ruining our family'?"
Izumi was left silent as he realized he couldn't argue that. It was true. They were quick to just hate Izuku for something that wasn't his fault. Katsuo then stormed off and started packing a bag.
"Where are you going?"
"Going to go live with Gramps and Grandma."
"Does Papa know?"
"I told him after I talked with them."
"I'll go with you."
"No. I don't want you around. Not if you insist that Papa and Kirishima 'made a mistake'."
There was then a knock on the door as Katsuo grabbed his bag and left the house with Mitsuki and Masaru. Izumi just watched as they drove off, tears in his eyes.
Now they were both 18 and they had yet to reconnect.
Katsuki and Kirishima's relationship didn't last long after Katsuo left. After Katsuo left, Izumi grew noticeably distant, especially with Kirishima. Kirishima had come home from work one night, walking into the kitchen to-
-see Katsuki cooking.
"Hey, Kats…?"
"Oh, hey Shitty Hair. You good?"
"Um… yeah. I-it's just- well I thinking that… maybe we shouldn't… be together anymore."
Katsuki looked shocked.
"What… why the fuck not…?"
"Katsuki, your kids hate me. And I don't blame them. Izumi looks uncomfortable every time I enter the room. He used to hug me and now he barely even spares me a glance. We fucked up!".
"Kirishima…"
Katsuki walked to try and comfort the red head, but Kirishima took a step back.
"One of us has to fix it, Katsuki. I have to leave. I already packed my stuff and Mina is gonna let me stay with her for the time being. Goodbye, Kats."
Kirishima left as Katsuki stood there stunned, while Izumi had eavesdropped and heard everything. And now Katsuki and Izumi lived by themselves for 5 years, with only small visits from Kirishima now and then.
In the present, Katsuki and Izumi were eating dinner from their favorite take out place.
"Food good, kid?"
"Mhm."
Katsuki looked to see Izumi with a troubled look on his face.
"If you have something to say, then say it."
"How come Dad never asked us how we were? No text. No letter. Nothing… why?"
Katsuki took a deep breath and sighed.
"I'll tell you, but you may hate me even more…"
Izumi looked surprised.
"Just tell me…"
"The day that he dropped you off, he was in a very bad car accident. I got a call and made my way down there to see him but…"
"But what?"
"He had a case of amnesia. He completely forgot about his family life. Thought that we hadn't seen each other since he and I were brats. Didn't remember you or your brother. All he remembered was he was a teacher and accepted an offer to work in the States."
"Oh…"
"And I'm not sure if he ever did recover his memory. Even before then, his feelings were extremely hurt. He loved you two to death, you know? Only gave you guys up to me cause he heard that is what you wanted."
Izumi hung his head in guilt.
"It's not your fault, kid. Don't blame yourself."
"I'm full…"
Izumi ignored Katsuki's statement as he sat up and walked to his room. He laid down in his bed as he contemplated everything. He looked at his phone, an idea popping into his head. He opened it up and started internet searching Izuku, quickly finding an article.
/Izuku Midoriya and Touya Todoroki open up new café to good reviews!/
He began reading the article.
"New York City?"
He then searched up the café's address.
"Got it!"
Next step. He wrote a letter. A thoughtful letter. He wanted to let his dad know he is sorry for everything. That he misses him. Izumi then put it in an envelope, stamped it, and shoved it in his mailbox.
"I promise to make it right, Dad…"
~2 weeks later~
Izuku is at the counter of the café when a mailman comes in.
"Hello! Welcome to the Bluefire Bunny! How can I help you?"
"I'm looking for an 'Izuku Midoriya'?"
"That's me."
The mailman then hands him the letter as he tips his hat and leaves.
He recognizes the address from where the letter came from. What could Katsuki want? It's been 5 years. When he opens the letter, however, the first 2 words catch Izuku off guard.
Dear Dad.
TBC
Here's Part 5! Next part, we'll see what has been up with Izuku and Dabi in more depth so stay tuned!
Izuku was sitting in his apartment after closing the café for the day, staring at the letter as Dabi walked into their home.
"Babe! I'm home!"
No response. Dabi looked concerned as he made his way to their living room, seeing Izuku enthralled by the note.
"Babe?"
Izuku snapped out of his trance.
"Oh, Touya. I didn't hear you come in."
"Is everything ok?"
Izuku looked back at the letter.
"It's Izumi… he found the address for the café and sent a letter to me."
"What does it say?"
"That he knows about the amnesia and the accident. That he wants to see me, even if I don't remember him.
That's he sorry for what he said."
Dabi rested a reassuring hand on Izuku's thigh.
"So what do you want to do?"
Izuku was quiet.
"I want to see my kids. Badly. But…"
"But?"
Izuku's voice started to waver from the sadness.
"I faked amnesia to get away from them… what kind of parent does that?"
Dabi then hugged the greenette.
"Don't worry, ok? Don't focus on the past. Focus on the present. Your kid wants to reconnect with you, even if you 'had amnesia'. Call him."
Izuku nodded. As he pulled out his phone. He input the number Izumi had put in the letter and sent a text message.
/Hey, my baby boy. I miss you so much./
Izuku then turned off his phone as he waited for a response, cuddling into Dabi's side as he held the greenette comfortingly in his arms.
.
.
.
Izumi had woken up late in the morning, yawning and stretching as he sat up. He looked over to check his phone. It was 2 weeks after he sent the letter and he was starting to lose hope that Izuku would ever contact him. That was until he checked his phone and saw the message.
From Dad: /Hey, my baby boy. I miss you so much./
Izumi had silently gasped as tears welled up. His dad responded. And he remembered him. He wiped his tears as he typed a response.
/I miss you so much, Dad. Can we call soon?/
Izumi sent the message and almost immediately, he saw that Izuku was responding.
From Dad: /I can call now if you want to./
Izumi smiled.
/Okay/
Izumi took a deep breath as he pressed the call button and with every ring, his heartbeat grew more erratic. Then it connected.
"Izumi?"
"Dad?"
Both voices wavered in their emotions.
"How are you, Izumi?"
"I… I miss you so much, Dad! I'm really sorry about how Katsuo and I treated you! And I'm sorry Papa and Uncle Kiri had an affair behind your back!"
"Oh kiddo. None of that is your fault, you hear me? I wasn't able to keep Papa happy and I just wanted you to have a good image of your father. A child should think highly of their dad."
"But you were my dad, too! You still are! And you went out of your way to make us happy, even if it destroyed you and I'm so sorry!"
"Calm down, kiddo. Deep breaths."
Izumi did as he was told and took a few deep breaths.
"Is your brother there?"
"Katsuo and I haven't spoken in 5 years. Ever since Papa and Kiri told us the truth. Katsuo wanted nothing to do with them and moved in with Grandma and Grandpa. Said he didn't want me around if I think Papa and Kiri made a mistake."
"Oh kiddo…"
"You must hate me, huh?"
"I could never hate you. And don't you ever think I do."
Izumi remained silent.
"Listen, baby. I gotta go. It's getting late here and I have to go to bed, but I promise to text or call you later, 'kay?"
"Ok. Love you, Dad."
"Love you, too."
Izumi then hung up as he set his phone down. He wiped his tears again as he started thinking more about how much he missed his dad.
.
.
.
Izuku, once the call ended, immediately started looking at plane tickets to Japan. Dabi noticed this.
"You sure you want to go?"
"I have to. I was selfish and my family suffered for it…"
"You weren't selfish, Izu…"
"I faked amnesia. I already gave up custody. I had no reason to go as far as I did. I have to fix this."
Dabi could see the look in Izuku's eyes. The guilt. The determination. There was no stopping him.
"Then I'm coming with."
Izuku's eyes grew wide.
"You don't have to."
"But I want to."
Izuku nodded. He then bought two tickets back to Japan.
"Let's get ready, Dabi."

Here's part 5! We've got a couple of reunions coming up. Some will be heartwarming and nice and some will not turn out the way Izuku hopes. So stay tuned.
#bkdk angst where Izuku and Katsuki, who are together, are announced as the No. 1 and No.2 hero respectively. Katsuki, in a bout of anger and frustration, yells that Deku is only No. 1 cause All Might took pity on a quirkless fuck, just like everyone in Deku's life. That Deku is-
-nothing without that damn quirk that was given to him. He then says that he doesn't deserve it as much as the people actually born with their quirks. All of this is said on stage. The rest of the ceremony is awkward and Deku is fighting back tears with a fake smile on his face.
It was now the afterparty and Katsuki was sitting at the bar, regretting everything he said D. He searches everywhere, but no one has seen Deku. Katsuki decides to wait till after the afterparty and just talk to Deku at home since he figures that's where he is.
Inko stepped down from a step ladder she had set up in Izuku's living room, helping set up for the special anniversary dinner Izuku had planned for Katsuki.
"Looks awesome, Mrs. Midoriya!"
Inko smiled over at Kirishima, who waz also helping out.
"Aw, you're so sweet, Kirishima!"
Kirishima then gave his signature grin.
"Ok. I just need to go pick up the bouquet that Izuku had specially made for Katsuki.
Do you mind just helping Izuku finish getting ready in his room?"
"No problem! Be careful, Mrs. Midoriya!"
"Thank you so much!"
Inko then grabbed her purse as she began walking to the flower shop.
It had been years since the final battle. Many thought they knew the final fates of the heroes and villains that had been involved. Heroes would praises. Villains would be jailed. But society was blindsided. Villains would be given second chances,-
-albeit with extremely tight restrictions. Among the villains given a chance was Dabi, who opted to go by Touya after Eri had rewound his scars and he made amends with his family. However, he never visited after he apologized. He was too ashamed at what he became.
Regretful about the pain he had caused his family. So he sat inside an apartment his family bought for him. Alone. It was his own form of solitary confinement. But one night, he heard a knock on his front door and knew exactly who it was.
He began running home and as he got home to his apartment, his phone dinged. He pulled out his phone from his soaked jeans and opened it to see a pic of Katsuki with his ex, Denki Kaminari.
"Son of a bitch!"
Izuku hurled his phone at the wall as he broke down in sobs. His roommates, Himiko Toga and Touya Todoroki, ran out of their rooms to see Izuku breaking down.
The Black Knight PART 1 #bkdk, some angst, QL AU, based on Sonic & The Black Knight.
Here is a link to the cutscenes so if you guys want to understand the story better.
Izuku and Katsuki were running late for their presentation for their class, discussing King Arthur and the Knights of the Round Table.
"Deku! Hurry the hell up! We're gonna be late!"
"Coming!"
Izuku ran into the living room of their shared apartment as he got his papers, his backpack, and an old book he found at their university's library as Katsuki searched for his own report.
Katsuki and Izuku are in their second year of UA, Katsuki in the Hero Course and Izuku in the Support Course. They have been dating since 2nd year of middle school. However, Katsuki had asked Izuku to keep their relationship a secret when they started-
-at UA. Izuku agreed, saying that as long as they loved each other, he didn't mind. But when 2nd yeat started, Katsuki started to seemingly grow distant. Whenever he texted Katsuki to meet up, Katsuki always said he promised to hang out with his friends. At lunch, Izuku would-
-always see Katsuki laughing and having a good time with his friends while Izuku always sat alone. One day, Nezu decides to select one Support Course student to go to I-Island for the rest of the school year to get a first hand look at the more advanced tech that they develop-
