Regarding the PNAS piece today -- we're doing what we can to obtain documents about the origins of Covid-19. On 4/18 we filed an FOI lawsuit against the University of North Carolina for seven public records requests mostly related to Ralph Baric. #FOIA

Today, we filed an FOI lawsuit against the @UofMaryland for records about the origins of #COVID19. We are litigating for records of Dr. Rita Colwell, who is a member of the board of directors of EcoHealth Alliance. #FOIA usrtk.org/wp-content/upl…

UMD initially provided us with one batch of Dr. Colwell’s records. But when we asked for more, they wrote: “Though records were previously released pursuant to your earlier request…in hindsight, they should not have been."

The first batch of UMD/Colwell records showed that Peter Daszak orchestrated the Feb 2020 Lancet statement that “strongly condemn[ed] conspiracy theories suggesting that COVID-19 does not have a natural origin.”
