People over 60 generally stop feeling thirsty and consequently, stop drinking fluids.
When no one is around to remind them to drink fluids, they quickly dehydrate.
3
Dehydration is severe and affects the entire body. It may cause abrupt mental confusion, a drop in blood pressure, increased heart palpitations, angina (chest pain), coma and even death.
This habit of forgetting to drink fluids, begins at age 60,
4
when we have just over 50% of the water we should have in our bodies.
People over 60 have a lower water reserve. This is part of the natural aging process.
But there are more complications. Although they are dehydrated, they don't feel like drinking water, because
5
their internal balance mechanisms don't work very well.
Conclusion:
People over 60 years old dehydrate easily, not only because they have a smaller water supply; but also because they do not feel the lack of water in the body.
6
Although people over 60 may look healthy, the performance of reactions and chemical functions can damage their entire body.
So here are two alerts:
1) Get into the habit of drinking liquids. Liquids include water, juices, teas, coconut water, milk, soups, and
7
water-rich fruits, such as watermelon, melon, peaches and pineapple; Orange and tangerine also work.
The important thing is that, every two hours, you must drink some liquid.
Remember this!
2) Alert for family members: constantly offer fluids to people over 60.
8
At the same time, observe them.
If you realize that they are rejecting liquids & from one day to the next, they are irritable, breathless or display a lack of attention, these are almost certainly recurrent symptoms of dehydration.
Inspired to drink more water now??

In the United States, an estimated 5.4 million people have been diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease. This figure is growing rapidly with the ageing population.
1
One of them was Steve Newport. His wife, Mary Newport, was a doctor. Dr. Mary learned that her husband had severe Alzheimer's disease.
When the doctor examined her husband at the hospital, he asked Steve to paint a clock. Instead, he drew a few circles and
2
then drew a few figures without any logic. It was not like a clock at all!.
The doctor pulled her aside and said: "Your husband is already on the verge of severe Alzheimer's disease!"
It turned out that it was a test of whether a person had Alzheimer's disease.
Topic: Importance of a strong and tactically astute leadership.
1. Over the last 35 days India has made more global headlines than probably ever in her history. The biggest / most influential nations are talking about India.
2. India is the only country, who is able to
1
evacuate all its citizens (nearly 20K) from war torn Ukraine free of cost; when most developed countries have only issued notices to citizens to make way to a nearby safe country on your own, and fly back, on your own.
3. Over this period, Russian president Putin has
2
spoken to PM Modi multiple times; Ukrainian President Zelenskiy has also spoken seeking help; and several world leaders have pressurised India to toe the West, but India refuses.
4. In a recent UN vote, 140 countries voted decrying Russia as the aggressor.

A very distressed neighbour shared that he had driven home after a long day at work. As he entered, he saw his wife in bed with fever. She had laid out his dinner on a tray.
1
Everything was there just as he wanted it. The dal, vegetables, salad, green chutney, papad and pickles… ”How caring,” he thought,
“Even when she is unwell, she finds the strength to do everything for me.”
As he sat down to eat, he realised that something was missing.
2
He looked up at his grown up daughter, who was watching TV and said,
Beta (child), can you get me my medicine and a glass of water, please?
She rolled up her eyeballs to show her displeasure at being disturbed, but did the favour nevertheless.
Everyone worships Sri Hanuman Ji and recites Hanuman Chalisa, but very few know the circumstances under which it originated.
This dates back to 1600 AD, during the reign of Akbar.
1
On His way to Mathura, Sri Tulsidas Ji stopped in Agra for the night.
News spread that Sri Tulsidas Ji, a great MAHAAN, had come to Agra.
When the people heard this, they immediately flocked to see Him.
When Akbar learnt of this, he asked Birbal who this Sri Tulsidas.
2
Then Birbal, who was himself a great devotee of Lord Rama, said, that Sri Tulsidas Ji had translated Valmiki Ramayana, which was now known as "Ramacharit Manas" and that he too had been to see him.
