Indian Supreme Court rules that women in #prostitution should not be criminalized, harassed, discriminated or have their children removed. Good! But still need to make exit programs available and work on decreasing demand which is the cause of exploitation telegraphindia.com/india/prostitu…
From this article it appears that sex trafficking victims in India are forced into what sounds like re-education homes which they cannot leave for years. This practice needs to end. And reliably differenting exploited persons from voluntary sex sellers remains a pipe dream.
It appears the Indian Supreme Court plans to cast prostitution as a job (though brothel keeping is currently still illegal) which will decrease (though not eliminate) police violence but is inadequate to combat john and pimp violence where victim testimony remains hard to come by
For as long as millions of Indian women are condemned to prostitution (if not by pimps then poverty) there'll be no female liberation. #sexwork ideology sells the lie that men can commodify women's bodies and respect them. Any engagement with john mentality will prove this wrong.

Over the years I've listened to women who view #prostitution as violence, those who view it as work and those who are ambivalent. On the whole, the reality they describe is the same, only the interpretation varies. Here's a response video on this dynamic:

Centrally the women all meet the same men and those men generally share a view of the sex trade with the brothel as playground and the women as toys not human beings. So they harass women and violate their boundaries independently of whether she sees herself as a worker or victim
But the "sex work" language is so strong in warping people's minds that we can sit there and listen to women describe severe harassement and assault and just go "haha isn't the sex workers life kinky and funny" (see the video for precisely what I mean). I wont participate in this

I support the movement behind #NoHijabDay where reformist and ex-Muslimahs are calling out the modesty x rape culture that underlies religious veiling. Being able to choose to be #FreeFromHijab is a right. Women's and girls' bodies are not dirty, sinful, or invitations for rape.
I don't support practices from any religion or culture that divide women into "good & pious" and "dirty whores". Of course, veiled women are still subjected to harassment for e.g. "improperly" veiling. No woman actually wins the patriarchal game & yes, there can be racist abuse.
Whether chosen or not, hijab/chador/burqa all tend to come with further and serious restrictions on female freedom. It's not just sweating in the sun - there can be restrictions on her movement, sports, education, sexuality, marriage, etc. Millions of women and girls suffer FGM.

German Green politician complains that it is essentially discrimination to intepret the official stat that at least 81% of women are migrants overwhelmingly from the poorest parts of Europe to mean that women don't freely choose to sell sex. ulle-schauws.de/2016/07/rede-z…
How dare anyone suggest that prostitution is built on force, poverty, addiction and vulnerability. More Romanian than German women in German brothels doesn't tell us anything in particular. This is just Eastern European entrepreneurship or something. I mean what else could it be?
And German politicians are still debating whether we should maybe try and end the practice of women in advanced stages of pregnancy being in prostitution. The argument to not criminalize their exploiters: It will go underground! Might as well legalise anything and everything.

Sex buyer quote projects are being attacked again with claims that anyone can log on and invent reviews so we can't trust them. I got a lot of thoughts on this starting with why don't you use your critical thinking skills about women's ads? Any of them could be written by a pimp?
Somehow I doubt that there are tens of thousands of people writing fake reviews of women in prostitution for shits and giggles. Fake positive reviews exist where brothel or escort agency owners fka pimps want to hype up their establishment. But who would invent stories of rape?
Fake positive reviews are sometimes written by women themselves trying to advertise on an extremely competitive market. But why the hell would stories be invented about upset, high and dissociated women? I give screenshots and a source whenever I share. These are not made up.

Throwback to the 90s when liberal feminists successfully argued that a ban on filmed rape would censor nude art as well as education on sex, health, maternity, homosexuality etc. We got the world full of porn that they wanted and it harms... everything they sought to defend.
I can't think of a single medium spreading more harmful lies about sexuality, sexual health, etc. than porn. It's normalized strangulation, violent anal sex & much more - not condoms. To many young people "lesbian" is not a sexual orientation but a porn genre. So is "pregnancy".
I can't count all the women and girls I know personally who have survived (filmed) sexual assault where acts were specifically inspired by pornography. And yet the pro-porn "feminists" are still out there blathering about how porn "liberates female sexuality". Wake the fuck up.

Listening to this: open.spotify.com/episode/5dKUE2… The women discussing the filmed & widely distributed rape of women by the criminal network "Girls Do Porn" just said there's nothing wrong with porn consumers desire for women who are "fresh first timers" like its not about power & abuse
I hate liberal choice feminism so much. There are things that are harmful even with superficial consent. Putting women who don't have a clue how manipulative & violent pornographers are on a set is objectively abusive. Its misogynists obsession with "deflowering" ie rape culture.
The women in the podcast just claimed that pornographers manipulating, lying to and trafficking women is a "huge outlier". What a fucking lie. How many more whistleblowers do you need? Did you just wake up to this this year? Apparently yes. Absolutely irresponsible reporting.
