1 There is a mosque at Taj, which if planned & built by Shah Jehan, would have faced the Kabba!
The technology to ascertain the direction of the Kabba existed during the period of Shah Jahan. For a Islamist, getting the orientation correct would be a basic need.

The Kabba is 6° south of the Taj

The building was part of Raja Man Singh's palace complex, commandeered by Shah Jahan & re-purposed as a mausoleum

2 Did you hear of 20000 workers labouring for 22 years to build the Taj Mahal?
Where did this come from & is it true?

This was reported by JB Tavernier, a French jewel merchant in his book "Travels in India".
JBT visited Agra twice & witnessed completion of the monument.

He visited Agra in 1641 & in 1665. By 1665,, Aurangzeb had imprisoned Shah Jahan & JBT does not mention Aurangzeb working on the Taj

So, this nugget of information was picked during his visit of 1641, ten years after Mumtaz died!
Construction started 12 years before!

To rephrase, the Tejo Mahalaya was already 12 years under construction when Mumtaz died & her sex-obsessed husband took over the site, in the name of "love"!

This timeline matches up with the next piece of evidence.

Mumtaz died & buried in Burhanpur ~Jun 1631
Exhumed & taken to Agra ~Dec 1631
Buried somewhere in the Taj campus ~Jan 1632
Shah Jahan returns from Deccan to Agra ~June 1632 (witnessed by European traveller Peter Mundy)

Issues 1st of 4 firmaans to Raja Jai Singh ~Sep 1632 (asks for makrana marble for inside of mausoleum)

This indicates structure READY & STANDING 15 months after Mumtaz died
Work claimed to have been completed by an apparently grieving SJ in the midst of a military campaign:

Designed layout
Planned construction phases
Built foundation, plinth & a 4-storied structure, with 13.5 feet thick walls?

In such a short time frame?
Impossible even by today's standards

An existing structure had to be taken over & then finished

4 Shah Jahan's own records:
Badshahnama talks eloquently, even exaggerates, feats of the Emperor
In it's 1600 pages, there are two references to Taj & one para talks of its construction
Why didn't the Court chroniclers write more about the "greatest edifice of love?"

5 Why does a mausoleum require 400 to 500 rooms with 22 apartments?
Unless it was a palace & then re-purposed?

Did you know the tomb is on the 3rd level, the sepulcher viewed by the public, on the 4th?
Then, why is there a 2nd level with 22 apartments overlooking the

Why is there is the 1st level entirely sealed & not visible for public? It was discovered in 1900!
Why was it hidden all these days?

Why do visitors need to take off their shoes while visiting an Islamic grave

Hindu architecture is three-dimensional with exact symmetry
Islamic architecture is two-dimensional with a focus on façade
Behind the purdah, it is stark
But not so with the Taj

There are too many facts that cannot be ignored!
ASI reports to the Ministry of Culture

It is time for the Minister to order an independent committee, free from the shenanigans of the ASI, to investigate this.

I haven't obtained their consent, yet I have recommended @Aabhas24 & @vikramsampath be part of this Committee

I hope they agree!!
