In October of 2021, Connor Dery, 25, was arrested after multiple attacks he had made on 4 people in the downtown area with a machete. He was charged with aggravated assault and carrying a concealed weapon in connection with the incidents.

All 4 victims survived. Michael Richards was one of those attacked, who sustained severe life threatening injuries to his skull, a brain bleed, a broken jaw and more.
Judge John Bascom agreed with defence counsel Adriano Iovinelli there were insufficient grounds to keep Connor behind bars pending trial. Dery was released on conditions that included he live with his parents and abide by a 24-hour a day curfew.
Well, it seems those rules are not being followed - not that any of us are surprised....
Neighbors of the Dery family have now made complaints and reached out to media after Connor has been found repeatedly breaching conditions in the community of Crestmont.

As recently as yesterday, Connor was - once again - setting off fireworks in the community's park around 6:30 in the morning which led to him sustaining injuries to himself.

His parents, which include Dad Sgt. J.F. Dery, are away on vacation in Bora Bora which means Connor is not being supervised. Police are aware, but he is being protected by the #ThinBlueLine. If something bad happens (again), it's on these two, and every one of these officers.

Remember: police and those in proximity to them will never see the consequences of their actions. The "law" is made as a tool to be used against every day people in our society to maintain "order" - aka the status quo. The law is not made for "justice". There's no such thing.
