A stark reminder about the UK MSM. In 2015 Mr Whittingdale replaced the BBC board with compliant types. The Telegraph, Mail, S#n, GB news, the Express & Spectator are riven with client journalists. All #Brexit fanatics, all desperately lying and misleading to keep to narrative.
It all, in the end, comes back to #Brexit. The accurately predicted outcomes are staring us all in the face. The dam is full to bursting. Unelected 'commentators' do Brexiteers bidding. Misleading folk on a huge scale. The UK media *is* a disgrace. For the exact opposite reasons
the #BackBoris cultists and bots would have you believe. It's showdown time. I urge all opposition activists and parties to work together to save the next twenty years of our politics, and our democracy.

Every single Conservative politician, Parish, Town, Borough and County Cllr, candidate, MP and Peer who continues to support Johnsons appalling behaviour is unfit to hold any kind of elected position.
This is no longer a joke. It's not a game, a karaoke sing-a-long or the cut and 'thrust' of normal politics. The lies, corruption and deceit in itself should see Johnson and his cabinet resign in absolute shame, but his complete refusal to withdraw his
conspiracy theory based, debunked, far right originated slur about Keir Starmer is a whole new level of hell we are seeing for the first time. Politicians should be taking the heat out of situations, not making outrageous claims like Johnson did.
So Johnson gives Liz Truss the 'posion challice' of negotiating the NIP, two things, 1) she'll fail as it's impossible, and 2) she'll resign as the 47 Ministers before her have - thus ending a burgeoning leadership challenge.
This Liz Truss... The 'clean global Brexit' and the ERG will be telling us that 'this is a disgrace' 😏
Like so many, I am greatly concerned about the Parliamentary debates on Mon/Tues related to the NHS. Particularly the "removal of statutory duty to arrange provision"
It was very clear that a number of Brexit obsessives had their "eye" on the NHS, the profit potential in Pharma and tertiary provision. Under this Bluekip version of the Tory party, little would surprise any of us.
I commended Mr Corbyn at the time, and felt him likely right that further privatisation of the NHS was the plan, and nothing I've seen since has dissuaded me from that position.
The Johnson Govt 'rap sheet' is starting to read like a book now. It's increasingly clear that they are misusing their clear influence afforded to them by the tax haven media Barons to simply re-write any "rule" in their way. This is (not coincidently) happening in many walks of
life simultaneously. Clearly they want to get away with as many projects at the same time, so defenders of democracy, and ungagged journalists can't properly focus on any particular line. In the HO, the ministerial code was abused to keep Patel in post, despite the stench of
bullying. The big call there, is the turning-around of migrant boats in the Channel. To do this lawfully, they'd need to re-write international maritime laws - difficult, so they're looking to short cut, and find a unilateral way to achieve this. If they can get away with
I've decided that I am pro #COVID19 passports. And here's why. I'm unconvinced by the 'it's illiberal' argument. I think in times of crisis, public health has priority. I have a right, being of a certain age - to be protected, and I wish to protect you.
The u-turns and fiddling while Rome burns attitude of the Govt sees the public at greater risk than necessary. Equate this to the gun lobby argument in the US. Those pro state they have a right to bear arms, and the anti argument is citizens have a right to be protected from
those who wish to. Without being trite and simplistic, it's possible to swap guns for this awful disease, and to create a relevant analogy. We have vaccination passports. I have one. We have driving licences, insurance documents, and many other items to indicate that 'we' are
