Wow, this interview with Rep. Raja Krishnamoorthi (@CongressmanRaja) is something. Great get by @jmgeventhorizon and stellar interview. I'm listening through it now and will put some highlights below:

First, here is @CongressmanRaja's questions during the hearing. They were VERY good Qs. 11 recent near-misses with UAPs. Takeaways: No disclosed attempt to communicate with UAPs. He then asks a question about UAP craft wreckage...

Bray responds that the "UAP Task Force" doesn't have any wreckage that can't be explained with a terrestrial origin explanation. Specific language choice. Then Raja asks about USO's (underwater). The body language is interesting - immediately deferring to classified session

Good follow-ups about physical nature of UAPs. Sensor bias for detection in training areas and more. His last q gets punted to the classified portion: Have UAP encounters led to developments in Military hardware or sensor capabilities? We don't know the public answer

The answers by Bray were somewhat frustrating. It's clear the congressman wants the DoD to do better to get a holistic picture of what's going on. Now to the interview with @jmgeventhorizon. MANY nuggets...

From the congressman on the classified portion of the briefing. "It was fascinating... I have not been to hearings like that in my six years in Congress."

He hopes there will be further hearings, thinks the oversight is important here. None seem to be specifically planned. [Sidebar note here: he's only talking about House Intel Comm hearings. Not clear where things stand on having near-term hearings on the Senate side]

Does he think the DoD will be more open with their UAP findings? Surprisingly, yes. He "thinks there's been a real shift in their thinking on these issues" More openness = better cooperation from other departments and non-gov bodies + citizens.

So this is big. On the wreckage question. He does say he didn't learn anything that day (presumably classified portion as well) that would indicate the US has UAP materials but "that doesn't mean there isn't more information out there" - he gets to the language choice here...

He finds it "interesting" to note that the UAP task force (AOIMSG) doesn't have "visibility" into other portions of the national security apparatus. He wants the task force to get access. More cooperation internally is needed

Now is a good time to highlight this stunning report from @BryanDBender recently. I trust the reporting here - there are elements deep within DoD that seem to know quite a bit more than they're letting on, and this info is NOT being shared with AOIMSG politico.com/news/2022/05/1…

The congressman acknowledges there's deep interest in the topic from congress. These UAPs may represent "advanced technology" that foreign adversaries have been able to leapfrog beyond our own capabilities. There's bipartisan interest in getting to the bottom of it

He's worried there's a tendency to mark too much info as classified on the issue. And there is a need for deeper international cooperation to continue investigations. He reaffirms the collective bipartisan nature of their work. Certainly good to hear. That's about all, however...

I would have liked to see @jmgeventhorizon press a little more on how seriously the congressman is considering non-terrestrial explanations for the UAPs. I can read between the lines and speculate that he takes that seriously, but I'd like to have more on the record statements

I think more US officials are willing to say more than we'd expect *on the record* to that question. But they are too infrequently asked. This conversation from @RepGallagher is telling. He takes the "future humans" hypothesis seriously! It's good to know

To close, it was a great interview and great work by @jmgeventhorizon to make it happen. Let's get plenty more. I'm launching this show in the next couple weeks and hope to be another constructive voice to uncover what's happening here. We're closer to the truth than we realize
