#dabihawks fluff w/ some angst

It had been years since the final battle. Many thought they knew the final fates of the heroes and villains that had been involved. Heroes would praises. Villains would be jailed. But society was blindsided. Villains would be given second chances,-

-albeit with extremely tight restrictions. Among the villains given a chance was Dabi, who opted to go by Touya after Eri had rewound his scars and he made amends with his family. However, he never visited after he apologized. He was too ashamed at what he became.

Regretful about the pain he had caused his family. So he sat inside an apartment his family bought for him. Alone. It was his own form of solitary confinement. But one night, he heard a knock on his front door and knew exactly who it was.

He opened the door to see the red-winged blonde who had become his boyfriend.

"Took you long enough."

"Sorry. Patrol lasted a little longer than usual. But I got some udon from that place you like."

Touya smirked as he let Hawks in.

"Set it on the table. I'll put the movie-

-on."

Hawks entered and set the takeout bag on the table as he set up their meals.

While eating, they had a casual conversation, enjoying each other's company.

"Natsuo asks about you all the time. Ever since he became my agency's medical professional."

"...How is Natsu?"

"Good. Always talks about how he, Shoto, and Fuyumi talk about surprising you with a visit. But then decide against. Wanting you to visit on your terms and all that junk."

Touya gave a slight "Hmph." as he continued his udon.

"You know what tomorr-"

"I know tomorrow is my birthday."

Hawks looked to see a pained look on Touya's face.

"I think you should visit your family. I can see it tears you up inside. They miss you, Touya."

"I can't. You know I can't. Not after everything I did."

"You mean 'Dabi' did. You're not that person anymore. Like I said, they miss you, ya big idiot. Just... talk to them. Or even just one of them. To ease your mind and theirs."

Hawks then pulled out his phone with Natsuo's-

-number pulled up. Touya looked at the number and then at Hawks. He sighed as he pulled out his phone and input Natsuo's number. He then sent a message.

/Hey. It's Touya. Lunch tomorrow? Invite Sho and Yumi./

/Touya?! O-ok! I'll let them know! Meet at the agency!/

Touya smirked as he read the message. He then got up and took his dish to the sink. He walked over to Hawks before placing a quick kiss on his lips.

"Come on. Bed time. I got plans tomorrow."

Hawks smiled as he followed his boyfriend to bed, happy to see Touya genuinely smile-

-for the first time in years.
