🔴 UK Foreign Secretary LizTruss has been accused by the UN’s refugee chief Filippo Grandi of making “untrue” statements after claiming that critics of the UK government’s Rwandan removals policy have failed to come up with alternative policies.
It was also reported that two last-ditch attempts to halt the flight had been rejected, with the Home Office admitting that there is a risk the flight could be cancelled anyway, after legal challenges meant that fewer than 10 people are expected to board
A source told Playbook that, due to individual case challenges brought against the government, “just seven” people were due to board, and that an ongoing “legal merry go-round” could well mean the “removal of every single last person” from the flight.

As the @guardian reports today, the highly anticipated judgement in the libel action taken against @guardian and @allthecitizens' Carole Cadwalladr by multi-millionaire Brexit backer Arron banks is due tomorrow.
The verdict will be made public at Monday 10am, with 'potentially 'huge ramifications for press freedom and investigative reporting'.
Banks is suing Cadwallader for two instances of alleged defamation, in a TedTalk and tweet, claiming he lied about his relationship with Russia.
