Superb to see the Scottish Parliament discuss and pardon the Miners after the aggression of the Tory Party under Margaret Thatcher during 1984-5.

Thatcher government's vicious attacks on the Miners, and the propaganda of a quisling press (and I don't use that word lightly), really should be an education. Our present media is as biased, as is the fact that presence on social media can be
bought. Twitter, Facebook and YouTube are becoming unusable because of advertising and the promotion of views that at present represent a few entitled people. Swamping social media helped a right wing, ultra nationalist Photo from the air, of mine...

The Sun, The Telegraph, The BBC, ITN, Sky News, The Times and The Express can still

poverty pay and tenuous employment acceptable.

This same media has been subtly (and less subtly in some of the far right and tabloid outlets) targeting Scottish democracy in recent years, trying to pare apart the
independence movement. Its only success was helping to create Alba Party and a small bunch of bigots who call themselves "Women Won't Wheesht." It has been satisfying to see that polls in the past few months have shown that their
bigotted views represent a tiny percentage of the Scottish public. The right have failed to make any impact on our existing movement and support.

with "a referendum is a distraction," through to targeted personification of the referendum as "Sturgeon's" or "Slater's" (the unreconstructed right really are happy to be sexist, midogynist). And Harvie and Greer
will also be targeted.

A new, positive, inclusive, honest campaign is our attack. When they go low, we go high. And when they baton charge, we stand firm in solidarity, knowing we are right and they are scared as their power
wanes.

Johnson's petite fascists are at present dismantling rights and checks and balances in our democracy... Scotland needs to go in another direction, and win its right to create a more equal society within Europe.

On my way home from work today, I listened to BBC Radio Scotland. On one of their news bulletins, they reported on #fmqt , leading with a recording of a full question Douglas Ross, leader of the small Tory group in the Parliament. The reporter summed up the FM's reply in
just a few words. The bias in reportage of the upcoming referendum has begun. (@nwScotty)

@BBCScotlandNews, we have defended you through most of the bbc bias allegations over the past few years, because we believe in public broadcasting free of political and financial
influence.

At present we are finding it is difficult to believe the BBC is meeting that public broadcasting remit by balancing the political status quo of tory England, with the reality of progressive left Scotland, split 50/50 at present over independence.

If you have doubted those who have said that the Tories have been taken by the far right, the suggestion that the UK will legislate itself OUT of the ECHR and force ably remove people and dump them in Rwanda should be a HUGE wake up call.

The Tories are
not afraid to provoke outright racism in order to deflect from the billions of pounds of wealth they are siphoning off to their sponsors. The fascism our grandparents fought against in 1936 and 1939-45 landed here, thanks to Cameron, Osborne, Clegg, Gove, May et al. They (and
media friends) enabled Farage, Johnson, Patel and their Brexiter gangsters. Not only was what has happened in Britain since 2010, a criminal act of asset stripping, it has also been an act of human rights stripping and one of low wages, and no rights.

We'll be hearing years from now, how the Jubilee brought the country together. Has beens & cap doffers on stage in front of a crowd of radicalised cultists, cheering a glitzy show of fascist propaganda, dressed up as a tribute to an old lady, whose riches allowed her
happiness & contentment few will realise. Money was never mentioned last night. But money from a world of struggle, work, stress, death, suffering in war and terror was what she and her family were thanking us for.

Celebrating Monarchy is really celebrating inequality, and
celebrating poverty in the face of incredible wealth. A fairy tale family, clapping, dancing and celebrating the food banks, food & fuel abject poverty THEIR class bestows upon us.

London, UK, in your name, that inequality was celebrated last night. There is no pride in that.

There's no law broken by those seeking refuge. "Illegal" doesn't apply to refugees. It is not illegal to cross borders & requirements for passports & visas are unrealistic for those fleeing war or persecution.

The term "illegal arrival"is part of Johnson/Patel's racist politics.
It's probably true as some media outlets are speculating that it is a populist fascistic distraction & that it may even be dropped at some point. But unless it's comprehensively defeated by mass action it's dangerous.

There needs to be mobilisation against it, including
demonstrations nationally & regionally as well as renewing physical blockades of deportations, demos against detention centres & mass civil disobedience. Without it being completely & thoroughly defeated (rather than quietly dropped) the confidence of the ruling class to use

I see the Alba Party feel that there is only one aspect of bigotry that should be allowed to be spoken of. Racism, antisemitism, Islamophobia, anti-Palestinian,anti Irish/anti Catholic bigotry, anti Roma bigotry, sexism, misogyny, AND transphobia all exist, side by side, here in
Scotland. ALL of these awful blights on our society coexist. At present, in our Parliaments, one of these groups of persecuted peoples are in tge process of possibly being legislated against- actual legislation being considered to roll back rights. And Alba Party members are
supporting that. Imagine being one of those groups of people and being told that "we will cure you from your identity." "We will teach you how to be "normal." "You will comply." "We are normal; you must be taught how to be our kind of normal."

Imagine some unionists blaming Yes folk for Division?

This was The Herald after indyref. It has, pretty much, forgotten where the division and viciousness came from. Where the narrative changed.

And of course, this narrative is protected as

annually, these Loyalist groups march with official protection (and with some Councillors and other political and civic leaders in tow). They march through the very streets some of the same people seigheil'd, spat, punched and stabbed.

The links some in the press and politics
have with Orange and Loyalist and Nazi groups really should have been a starting point for @heraldscotland following that weekend. A time to pull down the edifice of respectability Loyalism still enjoys in our communities, you would think. But... we've yet to see it.
