$QRDO WHY I’M BULLISH LONG TERM DESPITE THE HORRIC MACRO CLIMATE
Whilst it feels like everything is against us right now, I recently posted a thread that helps to identify the criteria needed for alt coins to survive a bear market, and provide a significant return on investment
Let’s pressure test $qrdo on some of the fundamental questions from the thread namely:
•Does it generate revenue?
•What’s in the Protocols Treasury?
•Token Utility & Use Case?
•The Team?
Will They Generate Revenue? Simple answer yes - @QredoNetwork will be revenue generating from 1 July 2022 with fees applicable to a whole host of protocol transactions from Power Swaps to Stable Coin Minting… From Wallet Connect to MMI (and many more).
Whilst fees are cool - $qrdo intends to swim with the whales – by focusing not just on institutions, tradfi and retail…but ENTIRE COUNTRY ASSETS!
The below is a solid indication of the team’s ambitions in this space...first mover advantage here is huge qredo.com/press/qredo-ch…
What's in the Protocol's Treasury? It costs a lot to run a protocol: software, salaries, development, marketing etc… $qrdo has secured $130 million in funding since inception.
Whilst I’m not privy to the operating expenses of the business; I would imagine that’s the thick end of a decade of runway. Cash is oxygen for a business and @qredonetwork has a shit ton!
Token Utility & Use Case? There has been understandable concern regarding $qrdo tokenomics. A big FDMC and scary PA. however the original token model was designed to give inflationary tokens as a way to incentivize and bootstrap growth. (often misunderstood)
The tokenomics model has also been designed to incentivize large TradFi banks and asset managers to build on @QredoNetwork , making it their default crypto infrastructure…think future volume, AUM, fees and lots of it!
In addition the team has worked to hard to dramatically improve the utility of the token by introducing the ability to pay fees with $qrdo. The incentive to pay with $qrdo is that it will unlock the lowest fees possible…said fees get burnt – happy days!
Further to this we currently enjoy institution grade security/technology for nothing and we’re here worrying about token inflation! Centralised MPC is expensive…very expensive…try opening a fireblocks account A) you won’t be able to. B) you won’t be able to afford it either way
Token demand/stability will improve as Minimum staking levels are introduced. This will give retail and institutions alike the opportunity to utilise dMPC technology facilitating the pathway for monstrous AUM growth through grade A infrastructure and world class security.
In addition - if these past few weeks have told us anything - custody is everything!
The Team? It’s easy for Anon teams to disappear alongside their protocol during a bear market. The hopium, dopamine and cash starts to run low. Hats off to @JoshGoodbody@benjaminjwhitby@luisvae who have been present throughout…answering the hard questions from dip to crash
No doubt the trolls will attack me for baseless shilling or typical underwater bag holding...but we're in for a rough ride in these conditions and my focus is long term. If i can provide a little education/hopium...the odd smile etc. It'll be worth it
for more of the same, throw us a like, comment, follow. Cheers folks!
A MEGA THREAD ON $QRDO TOKENOMICS - AND WHY I'M NO LONGER CONCERNED! at the start of the year i wrote a mega thread on the problems with $qrdo tokenomics model - absolutely delighted with the teams response and here's why...
at the start of the year its safe to say i didn't understand the $qrdo tokenomics model - and when you don't understand you naturally assume the worst. The rate of inflation/vesting schedule and fully diluted market cap left considerable heart burn
$qrdo tokenomics are designed for scalability through incentivization - they are building a model that rewards users for securing their digital assets on the network and this isn't limited to $qrdo or BTC - the list is swelling nicely! qredo.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/artic…
A THREAD ON $QRDO TOKENOMICS – A Retail Investor’s Perspective and why I AM concerned!
Thursday AMA with @JoshGoodbody@QredoNetwork was refreshing and gave real indications into the sheer breadth of the project, the depth of strength within the team, and the open communication/mindset by tackling concerns head on.
Despite this I continue to have reservations about the tokenomics for an early retail investor which I fear could stifle retail investment potential without some much thought through revisions.
