The Senate controls the confirmation of judges and we need to stack the bench in the lower courts for future SCOTUS noms

Holy crap Trump and his crew had already started calling Jeff Clark Acting Attorney General at the White House on January 3rd and DOJ leadership rushed over in their jeans from Justice and stopped it from happening
