Don’t prioritize quantity over relevance. The aim is to capture the attention of potential investors.

Let me tell you why racism still exists in South Africa and how many still benefit from it.

As a white South African, 30years of age,

I’ve been afforded privileges many of my friends fear to speak about, or naively ignore

For instance:

-Racial profiling
-Job opportunities
-Attaining credit

These are some of the many privileges/opportunities that go unnoticed

2/

My point being is that privilege exists, and will continue to exist unless new systems and structures are built to support ‘black economic growth’ - equality

Redistribution is a must to achieve wider economic participation and economic growth

Without it = no social cohesion

Interest Rates are rising, until something breaks again.

Let me explain: 👇🏼

1/ FED Funds Rate

at the top of each new interest rate cycle a lower high was made, before something broke and rates needed to be cut again.

Each interest rate hiking cycle was met with a subsequent recession which lead to interest rates being cut again

Here is the problem 👇🏽

Each new cutting cycle also made a lower low,

Which is now a problem because
we are coming off zero bound interest rates, how do we take nominal rates below zero?

Debt to GDP is higher than when the interest rates began rising in the preceding cycles.

The ‘Time Value of Money’ (TVM)

What does this mean?

1/ Introduction

It is a financial concept that explains how:

money is worth more now in the present moment than the same sum will be at a future date.

R100 today is not worth R100 next year (same amount buys you less)

*Money is worth less in the future.

2/ Receiving Money

This is why you always take the upfront money now rather than being paid off in installments

Once you understand this,

You will then know why banks charge interest on money they lend out, otherwise it would be a transfer of wealth
