Higher SEO maturity across most profitable industries Better user search experience and quality required to rank. More complexity to manage SEO project execution.
Here's how 6 ways to make SEO audits that actually impact results 👇
1/n
1. Make your SEO audits solutions focused to develop action-driven recommendations.
We’re not paid to identify SEO issues, but to provide solutions for them and achieve results.
Each recommendation should show: What is happening, Where does it happen, and How to fix it.
...
2. Connect each of your SEO recommendations to SMARTER SEO goals.
Explain how the SEO actions you provide will help you to achieve the established SMARTER SEO goals.
Can’t tie a recommendation to one of the SEO goals? It’s a non-problem and shouldn’t be prioritized.
...
3. Prioritize your SEO recommendations based on impact and effort, based on your own context & goals.
What happens when you have many w same effort/impact? Prioritize the one w/ biggest impact on the business.
...
... There are also SEO low-hanging fruit opportunities across processes, to always leverage.
These are strategy agnostic SEO opportunities that can be done in parallel to the initial SEO analysis.
Eg: improving the CTR of top ranked relevant pages for popular queries.
...
They don't only allow you to achieve results faster but help to address some of the big SEO challenges: Mitigate client or decision maker impatience towards results, Show value of SEO implementation to gain further support, etc.
Too much work? Remember, this makes it all worth it!

Why it's *a must* to look beyond rankings, monitor SERP Features & pages visibility overall & take it into consideration in your SEO plan:
A query decrease in ranking also decreased clicks (1) & (2). Then ranking was regained 🙌 but clicks weren't 😞 (3) & (4)
Why?
1/X
...
It was because of the important increase of SERP features inclusion above the fold, more specifically, images packs & video carousels.
In this case, images packs for popular fitness queries, non-existent before, started to be prominently included 👇
...
...
Something similar happened also with video carousels too as can be seen in the example below.
Both image packs & video carousels pushed below organic positions *a lot* in visibility. So even if you kept ranking 1st (or regained the 1st position) CTR & Clicks sinked

...
...
2. Which ranked pages attracting clicks haven't been crawled lately? Have they been submitted in the XML sitemap?
...
...
3. How are you internally linking to those URLs that Google is finding to be duplicates and not selecting as the canonical to index? When was the last time Google crawled them? Assess not only their indexing status, but internal linking & XML sitemap inclusion too.
I have just signed up as a mentor and will share in the next #SEOFOMO too! Please take a look at what @chimammeje shares and let's support BIPOC freelancers from developing countries to help close the existing gap! 👇
@chimammeje ... as someone who was born/grew up/study in a developing country (Nicaragua) and was lucky & fortunate to have the chance to study and develop my professional career in Spain too, I know well how hard it can be to develop yourself professionally in a developing country...
... and how different it can be when you live/work in a developed one too! There's a huge gap not only in terms of payment but *access* to work, and *how* you're perceived.. just because of where you're based, which is ridiculous. I really expect the popularity of remote work...
I love sharing this Google Sheets resource whenever I'm asked the "Why my Page Doesn't Rank" explaining how I will need to go through all those configurations/areas, as it serve to show how is *not* a one trick thing, how all needs to be aligned and better than competition too!
Questions to ask:
* Is the page Crawlable?
* Is the page Indexable?
* Is the Page Content More Relevant than the Top Ranked Pages for Target Queries?
* Is the Page Content more Helpful/Comprehensive/Authoritative than Top Ranked Pages to Fulfill User Search Needs?
