SEO Recommendations execution Issues + What to Do for Success in 2023 🚀

The top execution challenges shared in the #SEOFOMO SEO Auditing Survey are:

* Decision makers priorities & understanding
* Org factors
* Tech & overall Constraints

What to do About it? Read on... Image
1. Enough of recos of +20 pages with complex prioritization that nobody will read. Apply a radical SEO prioritization approach delivering a top 10 actions plan featuring only high-impact executions with an executive summary explaining the “why” and value for the business. Image
2. Always establish an SEO quality framework with education (to set an understanding base), validation and monitorization workflows in the organization, to prevent, catch and address issues fast. Do it along the reco's delivery. I've spoken about it here: speakerdeck.com/aleyda/goodbye… Image

Achieving SEO results is hard.

Higher SEO maturity across most profitable industries Better user search experience and quality required to rank. More complexity to manage SEO project execution.

Here's how 6 ways to make SEO audits that actually impact results 👇

1/n
1. Make your SEO audits solutions focused to develop action-driven recommendations.

We’re not paid to identify SEO issues, but to provide solutions for them and achieve results.

Each recommendation should show: What is happening, Where does it happen, and How to fix it.

...
2. Connect each of your SEO recommendations to SMARTER SEO goals.

Explain how the SEO actions you provide will help you to achieve the established SMARTER SEO goals.

Can’t tie a recommendation to one of the SEO goals? It’s a non-problem and shouldn’t be prioritized.

I have just signed up as a mentor and will share in the next #SEOFOMO too! Please take a look at what @chimammeje shares and let's support BIPOC freelancers from developing countries to help close the existing gap! 👇
@chimammeje ... as someone who was born/grew up/study in a developing country (Nicaragua) and was lucky & fortunate to have the chance to study and develop my professional career in Spain too, I know well how hard it can be to develop yourself professionally in a developing country...
... and how different it can be when you live/work in a developed one too! There's a huge gap not only in terms of payment but *access* to work, and *how* you're perceived.. just because of where you're based, which is ridiculous. I really expect the popularity of remote work...

💡How to identify trustworthy information💡
At the beginning of an SEO career, it can be difficult to recognise trustworthy information.
How do you discern which articles are accessible vs an article that is overly simplified?
Finding trustworthy information. A thread🧵
As an SEO specialist, even a beginner, it is our duty to use accurate and correct information.
Explaining complex information in a way that is easy to understand to beginners differs from simplifying complex information such as avoiding part of the concepts.
For basic information about how Google works, rely on information provided by Google ➡️ Anything in developers.google.com/search/ is generally trustworthy.
Bonus: it is available in 19 languages

To celebrate the #100KFollowers:

💥 10 Errors I've done as an SEO (I wish I had been warned of), & how to avoid them...

1. Saying yes to what looked as attractive SEO job/projects w/o validating well there was a fit for SEO, resulting in unsuccessful processes.

...
...

Early in my career as an SEO, I accepted what looked to be "attractive" positions or projects just to later realize decision makers were not really invested in the project, there were little resources or no flexibility to execute, and ended up being in professional...
... scenarios that were negative/stressful.

This is why it’s critical to not feel “pushed” to pitch/accept “any potential opportunity” coming your way: not every company is ready! Check first if there's fit with resources, flexibility, goals and context of the company.

If you’re a builder/maker/writer/etc: whatever you create, esp at the start, even if it’s super useful, attractive and for free ... you NEED to promote. The more you don’t have a established brand/following: the more you need to promote. There’s no shame on promoting at all ...
... is part of the journey, just do it in a meaningful, relevant way! We’ve all been there and even if we have now a more established following/brand we continue to promote to get what we make visibility. Have you seen how I share about #seofomo, #learningseo or @remotersnet? ...
... there’s this fallacy about: create something great and the rest will come! Why? I don’t want to leave anything to “chance” especially if I’ve invested (and I’m proud) of what I’ve build: I’ll promote every single time 💪 the best? This compounds over time 😉 ...
