TRIGGER WARNING.

This is absolutely horrible. Islamist extremists in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India have beheaded a man for allegedly supporting Nupur Sharma. The Islamist extremists also posted a video after the beheading, in which they can also be heard threatening PM Modi.
Looks like he also made a video before the murder. #India
SAMRI says they're both Barelvi. Although one of them looked & sounded like a Salafi to me. But I could be wrong. Would be nice to see some confirmation on their sect. #Udaipur #India

Does @IRFSummit support freedom from religion? How can you talk about religious freedom without talking about freedom from religion? I haven't seen a single thing on that from IRF. Would love to hear how they feel about it.
#IRFSummit2022 had a panel on hijab ban and how Muslim women are being supposedly oppressed by the infidels. But where's the panel on mandatory hijab and how Muslim women are actually oppressed by Muslim men and other Muslim women?
This is why I don't take seriously any "religious freedom" event which has links with the American government. Because it is part of American government's domestic and foreign policy to co-opt Islamism instead of countering it.

Lovely to see some Pakistani "experts" who were surprised about Taliban-TTP relationship last year now innocently inquiring about the TTP-HGB (Hafiz Gul Bahadur group) relationship.

This is what happens when you try to make sense of things without looking at the bigger picture.
Most (but not all) of the ops that took place during ceasefire were against Hafiz Gul Bahadur group. But TTP chief in his interview appears to be criticizing those ops.

Q some are asking is: are TTP and HGB not enemies as people been told for so long?
TTP and HGB group share the same jihadi ideology and both are fighting against the same target (the Pakistani state). Whatever differences they have had were mostly about power struggle. They are certainly not enemies. If they were, they would be attacking each other.

A whole new young generation of Pakistanis and Indians who are ignorant about the bloody history of partition will be learning about that when watching #MsMarvel

This reminds me that I never got to ask my ancestors why they migrated from India to Pakistan. Now both my grandparents are long dead. And we don't talk about that part of our history in my more immediate family.
I myself have never been quite able to reach a conclusion (after breaking free of the BS we were taught in Pakistani textbooks as kids) on whether the partition was good or bad. Because that's a matter of perspective. It was good for many, but very bad for many others.

You see, liberal Muslims often quote this Quranic verse, which roughly translates to "if you kill one person, it is as if you have killed entire humanity".

The problem with that is, it is an incomplete verse. Here's the full verse, al-Maidah 5:32 Image
And now here's the generally accepted translation of that verse.

Notice the caveat there?

"Whoever kills a person *not in retaliation for a person killed nor as punishment for spreading disorder on earth*, is as if he has killed the whole humankind"
