A lot of elected officials spreading misinfo about the shooter in #HighlandPark, and that makes me more and more convinced that he didn't mean to get caught - and this was intended to be pinned on somebody else.
The damage control post-IDing is absolutely pathetic.
See below 👇
He's a MAGAt/Trumper.
It's not trans people.
It's not anti-abortion activists.
It's not people on SSRIs.
It's not Antifa.
It's not BLM.
It's not Lefties.
It's not a lack of good guys with guns.
It's the guns.
He ditched his weapon and supplies.
The gun still had a serial number on it.
He hid for hours close to the event until he thought he could get away.
He was taken into custody without incident.
This doesn't sound like he meant to be caught.
Combine that with the obviously fake Instagram account being circulated, the bot presence behind the amplification of the misinfo, and the overall sloppiness of the deployment of misinfo - sounds a lot like this was meant to be pinned on somebody else.

I lost a friend in the summer of 2020. No, he didn't die, but he's dead to me.
This gentleman and I went to school together when we were younger.
I'll be the first to admit that I was a horrible kid with racist ideologies, but I grew as a person. He did not.
2/ My wife always says "if you can't look back on your past self and cringe, you haven't grown as much as a person as you may think you have."
We've been friends for roughly 15 years.
We had a YouTube show together.
He was a groomsman at my wedding.
3/ Prior to removing me from Facebook, he had contacted me about my posts. We got together and enjoyed a beer. I knew right away he was trying to recruit me for something.
This guy who I was friends with, made me feel more uncomfortable than I've felt in a long time.
