You have 2 Democrats running in the primary for the same state House race in a 50/50 district. Both are intelligent, competent women. Both are daughters of immigrants.

Here's the list of issues on their websites. Based on *no other information,* which would you vote for in 2022?
Note: There’s a third candidate in the primary as well, but their campaign website seems to be down at the moment.
OK, it's Michigan #MIHD054.

The Dem primary candidates are:
Shadia Martini: martini2022.com
Stephanie Fakih: stephaniefakih.com
Gary Gerson: gersonmirep.org
Speaking of the Michigan legislature, @MichiganDems have a very good shot at flipping *both* the state House *and* Senate this year: secure.actblue.com/donate/bluemi2…
UPDATE: Since the 3rd candidate's website (Gary Gerson) is working again, it's only fair to list his top issues as well:
--Education
--Infrastructure
--Public Health
--Mental Health
--Foster Care System

📣📣📣 THREAD: Dems are facing strong headwinds in 2022, but DON'T accept defeat as inevitable.

In 2020 we saved democracy. In 2022 we need to do it again. Money isn't everything, but it's still an important tool.

Here's links to multiple fed/state races to support: 1/
1. First, we desperately need to keep the #HouseBlueIn22! It’s a long shot but if the GOP takes control you’ll have racist, anti-science lunatics like MTG, Matt Gaetz & Lauren Boebert in charge.

BOOM. Specific numbers and makes sure to note that we need to hold the House as well...and the "pro-choice" caveat makes it clear that we need at least *219* in the House (since Cuellar obviously can't be counted on).
HELP MAKE THIS HAPPEN: Flip *at least* 2 more Senate seats blue:

🚨 Across 14 states & DC, preliminary 2023 #ACA rate filings are seeking average premium increases of 9.7%.

That's ON TOP OF the premiums unsubsidized enrollees will have to pay if the #AmRescuePlan subsidies aren't extended.

cc: @Sen_JoeManchin FYI.

Last week I broke out avg. premium hikes for #ACA enrollees if #AmRescuePlan subsidies aren't extended by Congressional District in 33 states...but those are all based on full-price *2022* rates. They don't even include the annual rate increases for 2023.

In ARKANSAS, for instance, net premiums are expected to jump an average of $73/month per enrollee w/out extended ARP subsidies...but those earning more than 400% FPL would be facing an *additional* $32/month on top of that. Image

—The ACA allowed adult children to stay on their parents employer policy until age 26 & millions of families took up this benefit.
—So instead of leaving their unwanted job when their kid turned 18, they’re sticking with it another 7 years.
And this is somehow the ACA’s fault?
Nothing in the ACA *requires* that parents keep their kids on their group plan!, it just ALLOWS them to do so. If you really hate your job that much, quit and make your kid buy their own policy on the exchange.
Also, the whole reason so many more people are in a *position* to quit their jobs is *because* the ACA *reduces* job lock since subsidies are available for self-employed people (well…earning up to a certain amount, depending on the fate of ARP subsidies…)

Hey liberal billionaires, here's an idea:
--Pool $20B together
--Recruit 400,000 young Democrats from CA & NY
--Offer them $50K apiece to move to ND, SD & WY
--You just flipped 6 state legislative bodies, 3 governorships, 3 House seats & 6 Senate seats.
Since this has taken off, here’s how folks can take more immediate action (thread):
Some people are saying it'd have to be more than $50K; others are suggesting larger purple/potentially purple states like NC, GA, AZ. Still others are noting that creating high tech/green energy/etc. jobs in those states would accomplish this naturally. All valid points...
