Everyone seems to be surprised that #ElonMusk had backed out of the much-hyped $44 billion Twitter deal.

Remember this tweet? As early as May 2022, he had hinted about abandoning the deal if Twitter bots were not less than 5% of total users.
This is what #Twitter had to say a day before the Tesla CEO pulled the plug on the deal.

As per Musk's ardent fan from India @PPathole, the lack of transparency in the counting of bot accounts is to be blamed for the fallout of the #TwitterDeal.

He also alleged that bot accounts comprised more than 5%, and therefore called for a re-negotiated deal.
. @elonmusk seems to have other justifications too.

Lastly, the contract signed between Elon Musk & Twitter shareholders called for a $1 billion breakup fee, provided the Tesla CEO failed to honour the deal.

This included reasons such as blockade of the deal by regulators or lack of acquisition financing.

Beautiful! I am sure some idiots from our community will still splurge their hard-earned money on shrines (that don't belong to them).

Trying to appear secular & accommodative of all Faiths will, however, not make them immune to threats such as 'Sarr Tann se Juda.'🤡 Image
This is Khadim Gauhar Chisti for instance.

Excellent on-ground coverage of #HinduSankalpMarch by @pallavserene.

The rally by @VHPDigital comes in the wake of the recent killing of Hindu tailor Kanahiya Lal and pharmacist Umesh Kolhe by Islamists for supporting ex-BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma.

Hindus in India are caught in a state of dilemma.

They can neither demand protection from the State as they happen to be the ‘non-violent majority’ nor can they defend themselves out of the fear of being called brute majoritarians, oblivious to minority rights.
(2/n)
The large-scale mobilisation witnessed today has signified that the Hindu community will no longer remain a mute spectator to attacks by extremists but will resist them within the bounds of the law.

Regards.

Can a person be trusted who deliberately withholds his name and religious identity?

This is not an isolated case but an everyday phenomenon in India.

My personal take on such marriages:
(1/n)
There are 3 aspects to it: identity fraud, impersonation & forced conversion.

I can show you 10 cases right now where a 'Shahrukh' pretends to be 'Rahul' during the courtship phase.

After obtaining consent with fake alias, the impersonator coerces the victim to convert.
(2/n)
Religion is an integral part of one's identity, irrespective of whether the adherent has faith in it.

The religion practised in one's household determines not just food habits but even his clothing and life choices.

On this day, 12 years ago, the life of a Christian Malayalam Professor named T.J. Joseph took a drastic turn.

His right hand (till his wrist) was chopped off by extremists, associated with the Islamic outfit Popular Front of India (PFI).

Here is his story:
(1/n) ImageImage
The day was July 4, 2010.

Joseph, who was 53 years old at that time, was returning home from church in his car at about 8 o’clock in the morning.

He was accompanied by his sister and mother.
(2/n)
A gang of 6 Islamists laid siege on his car.

Armed with an axe, they chopped off his hand below the wrist and ditched the severed part in a nearby land.

The assailants also stabbed the Professor in the leg and arm.

Joseph’s wife tried to intervene but was chased away. (3/n)

On July 1, @TIME reporter Sanya Mansoor used the gruesome murder of #KanhaiyaLal to peddle the narrative of ‘Muslim victimhood’ and trivialise the security and safety concerns of the Hindu community in India.

Source: time.com/6193304/hindu-…
(1/n)
At the very onset, Mansoor shifted the discourse from the beheading of Kanhaiya Lal to supposed ‘chilling calls for revenge’ against the ‘marginalised’ Muslim population.
(2/n)
While trying to contextualise the murder, she suggested that the poor Hindu tailor had drawn the wrath of the extremists upon himself by supporting the ‘derogatory comments’ of ex-BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma.
