Do not reform the Human Rights Act
petition.parliament.uk/petitions/6077…
#rightsremovalbill
#HumanRights
#humanrightsact
The proposed Human Rights Act reforms must be withdrawn. The Government must not make any changes to the Human Rights Act, especially ones that dilute people's human rights in any circumstances, make the Government less accountable, or reduce people's ability to make HR claims.
The Human Rights Act as it exists currently protects all of us. We lose it at our peril. It is an essential law that allows us to challenge public authorities when they get it wrong and has helped secure justice on issues from the right to life to the right to free speech.
The Human Rights Act has changed many lives for the better. It must be protected, and not subject to reforms that reduce its scope and limit when people can rely on it.

The Joint Committee on Human Rights reviewed the Bill of Rights Bill & concluded "We are concerned that the proposals and their consequences run counter to three central principles of human rights law.
Human rights are universal; they apply to everyone. Human rights are fundamental and require special protection within the domestic and international legal order. Human rights must be able to adapt to stand the test of time, as the common law does.
We do not think a case has been made for replacing the Human Rights Act with the British Bill of Rights in the form proposed by the Government.

Fear monger @DrEricDing is at it again "Let’s call monkeypox what it is: A pandemic" remember he was one of the key influencers of the over reaction to covid washingtonpost.com/opinions/2022/…
We need to ensure people don't listen to him & the others that gain from thr publicity
Monkeypox is endemic in parts of Africa, only a handful of people have died of it recently & all in these regions.
We need to make sure our government don't over react.
We also need to change the legislation that allowed them to.

If you back @BorisJohnson re-watch this chilling, calculated speech from him on 23rd March 2020, it will send shivers down your spine.
Listen to the tone, the intonation, watch the body language.
Have you ever seen him speak like this before or since?
This was the start of a gradual destruction of our liberty step by step: Lockdowns, the fear campaign, turning families & friends against each other, convincing children that they would kill their grandparents, separating families & coercing people to have inadequately tested 💉
Have you rewatched the video?
You really must.
Seriously, you will feel shivers run down your spine.
