1/ I am delighted to announce that I have joined the @Theirsverse family as a gold member! Here is why I am excited for #Theirsverse:
2/ Though I am long-term super bullish on NFTs, it is undeniable that the quality of recent projects have taken a hit since the beginning of the deep bear market. I have made many degenplays, but, I haven’t identified a long-term hold until learning about #Theirsverse.
3/ For starters, this project is backed by celebrity singer @AnnieYi0304, mining legend @bitfish1, and many more whales in the space. But more importantly, I resonate with the project’s mission to leverage its brand resources to onboard more LGBTQIA+ and #rainbow 🏳️🌈folks to #web3
4/ and foster pan-Asian solidarity in a Eurocentric space. Theirsverse also has strong young artistic talent and many active community delegates. Their Roadmap is something to look forward to (theirsverse.com/#ROADMAP). Anyhow, the launch is soon: I am excited to see it through!

1/ Just got back from Orlando Disney World. I was thinking about NFTs the entire trip—Here is a thread on how NFT teams can embark on the road to Disney 🧵💫:
2/ Disney is probably the greatest entertainment company of all time, so we have a lot of catch-up. Over the past cycle, we saw that one main route to success for NFT projects was to become an entertainment company through first building a decentralized lifestyle brand.
3/ NFTs are a medium for storytelling, and that’s what Disney does best. When the fireworks start at the Magic Castle, it’s not the explosions that gets kids laughing and adults tearing up (yes we cried). It’s the princesses from the stories we read and watched as kids
1/ I'm super bullish on @Doodles but, a couple of things have me slightly concerned. A thread on my thoughts 🧵
2/ First, leaving ETH ecosystem entirely for Doodles2. IMO, due to the team's connection with @dapperlabs they would most likely move to @flow_blockchain, when in reality I would prefer @polygonstudios or @Immutable for example. Also, bearish on sidechains (@Ronin_Network)
3/ Second, Doodlebank treasury being entirely in ETH. Although It is unknown how the team has managed their treasury, eth being down 80% spells concern for Doodles' balancesheet. We are paying the team to build not inadvertantly speculate on ETH price
Just in time for NFT NYC: The Field Guide to Explaining NFTs to Skeptical Friends and Concerned Family. These 10 Things to say will help you ace your pitch💎🙌 boba.mirror.xyz/7yAIfTXsQb-CZ5…
"Just monkey pictures?" No problem. "Right-click save?" Got that covered. Some elitist art history buff trying to overwhelm you with esoteric truisms? I got you. Is your literal mom just "not getting it"? It's all here 🫡
I hope this quick guide will be helpful to people who have always wanted to 1. explain NFTs to friends from a more top-down, theoretical perspective but also in a 2. straightforward and succinct way. I hope the scenes are somewhat realistic and can be practical.
1/ Now that crypto is dead, it is time for a post-mortem. Which new narratives are dead, and which are not? A thread 🧵
2/ Narratives that are dead: 1. Get 20% APY on your US dollars ($Luna) 2. Get paid 150,000% APY because (3,3) and magic internet money ($Ohm and $TIME) 3. Get paid 500$ a day to walk (Stepn) 4. The Metaverse (no one knows what it is anyway) 5. #Bitcoin as inflation hedge
6. Explosive third-world DeFi adoption (no one uses DeFi in India. But.. increasing adoption in Afghanistan?)
1/ What was the first NFT project? Was it @cryptopunksnfts? No. Was it @ensdomains or Curio Cards? Nope. The true story has never been told. Let's do a little anthropological archeology. A thread 🧵👇🏻
2/ When he was only 28, Qin Shi Huang (the First Emperor of Qin) conquered all of China and ended the Warring States period. Now the absolute monarch of the middle kingdom, the Tian Zi (son of heaven) sought the one thing he didn't have: immortality.
3/ Yet his quest for eternal life was doomed to failure, and the Emperor died in 210 BCE. Yet, an immortal army amassed to guide him to the afterlife: there are bowmen and officers, charioteers and infantry, all standing in orderly formed columns, facing their motherland.
Hot take: I think an overlooked utility for NFTs is some sort of cash flow. This will really incentive long-term holding and solve the liquidity problem. Yet, the problem is also super obvious with this form of deliverable: why should a project pay you to hold their token?
A solution is creating exogenous demand for the liquid cash flow token, like @CyberKongz's $BANANA. I think they were really onto the right idea and had good tokenomics, and if it wasn't for the over-promised and underdelivered game and the bear market they would do very well.
In this case, the demand will come from the p2e game being fun, and people deriving entertainment or social utility from purchasing the tokens to buy some in-game assets. Then the cash flow will come from game fee-sharing (ofc, we should not limit our imagination to just gaming).
