I'm already in July 14th because time zones (it's just past midnight here) so I am actually about to go to bed but I am looking forward to see posts from other nonbinary people for this celebration!!! ๐ฅฐ
I love this rainbow popsicle shirt and the moment I saw it at the shop, I was like "I MUST OWN IT" ๐คฃ
It looks even more queer in real life ๐โจ
GOOD MORNING OF INTERNATIONAL NONBINARY PEOPLE'S DAY!!!
Today, I plan to eat some fried food to celebrate this occasion ๐
Wishing all nonbinary people (of course including all people under the nonbinary umbrella) a wonderful day!!! ๐
This would be something like "Give a fine (ie. penalty fee) to a small, delicate fine grain that is sunny."
Breakdown:
ๆดใใ = sunny = fine (weather)
็ดฐใใ = small = fine (size)
ๅพฎๅฆใช = delicate = fine (quality)
็ดฐ็ฒ = this word actually means "fine grain"
็ฝฐ้ใ็งใ = "fine (verb; make a person pay for breaking the law) someone a fine (noun; penalty fee for breaking the law)"
This OP created a visual representation of meteorological low pressure* (ไฝๆฐๅง, teikiatsu) versus a person's health (ไฝ่ชฟ) to express the common notion in Japan that low-pressure climate beat the shit out of your health (both physical and mental health).
Low-pressure weather affects JP people so much that there's a popular site called Zutool that tells you the weather and the pressure every day to be careful of one's health.
Zutool is a pun of ้ ญ็ (zutsuu, "headaches") and ใใผใซ (tsuuru, as in "tool"). zutool.jp

She nots that many haters are bashing Nintendo, leaving comments like "Nintendo has fallen to the demands of political correctness" & "Nintendo games are gonna be boring now." She wants Nintendo to hang tough.
The cause of these haters cropping up is due to Nintendo's announcement about extending employee benefits to same-sex couples (as many of you might already know):
LGBTQIA+ Nintendo fans and Nintendo fans who are allies of LGBTQIA+ people, now is a great time to saw how much you love and support Nintendo to counteract the homophobic haterade!!!
Something happened last week right at the end of Pride Month that was so fucked up in JP politics in regards to LGBTQIA+ rights, and it took me the weekend to process because it made me so fucking upset to write words.
But I'm ready to go fucking ballistic right now ๐งต
For those of you who don't know JP politics, Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) is Japan's ruling conservative party that has been absolute shit in terms of human rights, particularly for women and queer minorities.
According to Asahi Shimbun article, this pamphlet written about sexual minorities, same-sex marriage, and separate surname among married heterosexual couples was absolutely FULL with hatred against LGBTQIA+ people.
I've received this question in my email and decided to answer it here, because I think it will benefit other people. (I've received permission from the sender to post it here with their name anonymized.)
My answer is in this thread โ
Unfortunately, there aren't non-gendered general terms to refer to your siblings in Japanese.
But there is a way to refer to the siblings in non-gendered way, which is to call the sibling by their names, preferred names, or nicknames.
While it's common that older brothers are called ๅ ใใใใๅ ใกใใใๅ ่ฒด etc and older sisters ๅงใใใใๅงใกใใใๅง่ฒด etc, that's not always the case and what the siblings are called within the family will depend from one family to another.
