Many people are shaming Muskaan for being an 'online bhikari' & seeking funds to sponsor her education.

I do not agree with such a notion. If you have secured admission at Harvard & exhausted all your options, then, I believe you must see help from strangers.
#unpopularopinion
Whether people choose to help you is all up to them but you should not refrain from seeking help (when it comes to education).

Given that @Harvard has a low acceptance rate, your admission (without a royal background) is a hallmark of meritocracy.
I am more than willing to help such good students with whatever limited means I have.

Today, teens are doing OnlyFans, and young people are finding sugar daddies to support their exorbitant lifestyle.

Being an 'online bhikari' for education is a lot better than this.
Having said that, I have certain apprehensions about this particular case.

Here is why:
I am yet to independently verify these claims. I will be sending a mail to Muskaan inquiring about her admission and to Harvard Admissions Office.

If it is ascertained that the girl's case is not genuine, then, she should be called out individually.
But I believe her case should not be used to shame not-so-privileged students who seek help online.

If I ever make it to Oxford or Cambridge, then, I will be the first to ask for help on Twitter and be an 'online bhikari' (after exhausting all options).

Regards.

These questions, posed at Draupadi Murmu, have nothing to do with her gender.

It has everything to do with the fact that she has been chosen as the Presidential candidate by the BJP.

This is exactly why I don't see 'journalists' casting the same aspersions about Margaret Alva.
Claims about Draupadi Murmu being a 'rubber stamp' are made by the same ecosystem, which had levelled similar allegations against Ram Nath Kovind.

Margaret Alva is however immune to such aspersions, given that she is a part of the said ecosystem.
Check some of the tweets by the usual suspects. Do you believe that this character assassination is due to her gender or her political affiliation? ImageImage

A day before the 2022 Presidential election, Pritish Nandy casts aspersions on India’s inclusivity & laments about the supposed lack of diversity at the highest electoral office of the country.
(1/n) Image
While he talked about the ‘Indian race’ in the case of Kamala Harris (US Vice-President) and Rishi Sunak (potential UK PM candidate), Pritish Nandy was quick to shift the goalpost to religion in the Indian context.
(2/n)
He suggested that the interests of Muslims can be served only if there is a Muslim PM or President.

The same ecosystem had recently snubbed Draupadi Murmu by claiming that her tribal identity alone will not serve the interests of the ST community.

Haha. India follows a Parliamentary system and thus the President is a nominal Head of State.

He has to act on the advice of the Council of Ministers, headed by the PM.

Yashwant Sinha’s claim to stop the alleged misuse of central agencies on becoming President is BS.

The maths behind Presidential elections is pretty complex but I have tried simplifying it in this article.

If you understand this game of numbers, you will realise that @YashwantSinha will never become President.🤡

Senile men hold lust for power. Having lived in their world of self-importance for decades, they do not leave any stone unturned to remain in public fanfare.

Instead of retiring gracefully, this 84-year-old political turncoat is hoping to make one last stride.

Beautiful! I am sure some idiots from our community will still splurge their hard-earned money on shrines (that don't belong to them).

Trying to appear secular & accommodative of all Faiths will, however, not make them immune to threats such as 'Sarr Tann se Juda.'🤡
This is Khadim Gauhar Chisti for instance.

Excellent on-ground coverage of #HinduSankalpMarch by @pallavserene.

The rally by @VHPDigital comes in the wake of the recent killing of Hindu tailor Kanahiya Lal and pharmacist Umesh Kolhe by Islamists for supporting ex-BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma.

Hindus in India are caught in a state of dilemma.

They can neither demand protection from the State as they happen to be the ‘non-violent majority’ nor can they defend themselves out of the fear of being called brute majoritarians, oblivious to minority rights.
(2/n)
The large-scale mobilisation witnessed today has signified that the Hindu community will no longer remain a mute spectator to attacks by extremists but will resist them within the bounds of the law.

Everyone seems to be surprised that #ElonMusk had backed out of the much-hyped $44 billion Twitter deal.

Remember this tweet? As early as May 2022, he had hinted about abandoning the deal if Twitter bots were not less than 5% of total users.
This is what #Twitter had to say a day before the Tesla CEO pulled the plug on the deal.

Source: apnews.com/article/elon-m…
As per Musk's ardent fan from India @PPathole, the lack of transparency in the counting of bot accounts is to be blamed for the fallout of the #TwitterDeal.

He also alleged that bot accounts comprised more than 5%, and therefore called for a re-negotiated deal.
