Over 2000 sign an open letter to the @gmcuk objecting to the suspension of climate activist doctors. Dr Benn and Dr Warner were suspended this year following their referral by the GMC to the tribunal service. Dr Hart (pictured) has a tribunal scheduled in 2025. /1 Image

The #Barclays7 were neither imprisoned nor fined, but had to pay court costs of £500 each. They were each given suspended sentences for 2 years today in court. We have this message for the board of @Barclays

Our waterways are the veins of our country, home to an incredible number of species and habitats.

But our clean water and biodiversity are being sacrificed by politicians and water companies who see our rivers and seas as nothing more than a commodity to be exploited.
On Saturday, as part of the dirty water campaign, plaques will be unveiled next to waterways and beaches around the U.K. to highlight the appalling state of our waterways, rivers, and seas due to government regulatory failure and profit-grabbing industries.

With the UK’s first ever level 4 national emergency heat red alert declared for this week, this morning, healthcare workers carefully cracked the windows at financial services giant and investment bank JP Morgan’s offices in Canary Wharf.

Here’s why:

“I am here today because people living with dementia will die as a consequence of this lethal heatwave. I must ‘Act without delay if [I] believe that there is a risk to patient safety.’ That danger is here and it is now.”
