Anyone visiting old Mahabaleshwar in Maharashtra is likely to know about the Panchganga Temple, the temple where the waters of five rivers - Koyna, Krishna, Veena, Savitri and Gayatri come together. But right behind the parking for the Panchaganga temple, there is a
small well marked trail which takes you to another temple well worth exploring the Krishnabai temple.

The path takes you through the woodland to a clearing at the side of a hill, and what has to be one of the more dramatic temple settings.

The temple is dedicated to Shiva,
and consists of an arcades court which was possibly open originally but later roofed over, with a high stone wall at the rear.

Here is the supposed source of the Krishna river, with direct parallels with the nearby Panchaganga Temple in having that water pass through a stone
spout carved as a cow which falls into a cistern below. It’s an incredible atmospheric and beautiful setting, amplifies by the fact that seemingly few people make the short walk to visit the place. The views are spectacular, overlooking the the Krishna valley down below.
As for the age of this temple, that’s a hard one to figure out. Some sources attribute it to a ruler of Ratnagiri on the Konkan coast who built it as late as 1888, other sources claim origin going back to the Pandavas, (as is often the case at temple sites!).
The temple looks and feels as ancient and has no doubt experienced many alterations and additions over the centuries.

One day, one Panda from Jagannath Puri arrived to King Jayasingha’s palace in Jaipur. The King warmly received the Panda and treated him well. The Panda brought Mahaprasadam from Jagannath Puri and gave it to the king. The King happily accepted the Mahaprasasdam Image

“Sadguru ADVICE TO 60-YEARS OLD & OLDER* Must read ...

*Because none of us have many years to live, and we can't take along anything when we go, so we don't have to be too thrifty.*

*Spend the money that should be
spent, enjoy what should be enjoyed, donate what you are able to donate*

*DON'T WORRY about what will happen after we are gone, because when we return to dust, we will feel nothing about praises or criticisms. The time to enjoy the worldly life and your hard earned wealth will
be over!*

*DON'T WORRY too much about your children, for children will have their own destiny and should find their own way. Care for them, love them, give them gifts but also enjoy your money or what is left of it, while you can. Life should have

MALAYALEE CONFIDENCE

Donald Trump was sitting in his office wondering whom to invade next when his telephone rang .

'Hello, Mr. Trump!' a heavily accented voice said, 'This is Kuttychettan from Peringottukara, District Thrissur, Kerala... I am ringing to inform you that
we are officially declaring war on you!'

'Well, Kuttychetta,' Trump replied, 'This is indeed important news! How big is your army? '

'Right now,' said Kutty, after a moment's calculation, 'There is myself, my cousin Kunjikannan, my next door neighbour Sahadevan,
and the entire volleyball team from the Panchayath. That makes nine '.

Trump paused. 'I must tell you, Kutty that I have one million men in my army waiting to move on my command.'

'Anganeyaano...' said Kutty. 'I'll have to ring you back!'

Sure enough, the next day, Kutty

Lord Jagannath is so merciful that he tolerates everything when we sincerely pray to the god. He forgives us but cannot tolerate anyone with pride.

In the 17th century, Jaggath Seth came to Jagannath Puri to donate 1 lakh rupees to the Jagannath Puri temple. Image
Whenever we want to give donations to the temple, it should be filled with love and devotion. This is Lord’s money that I’m offering back to Him for His service. It’s like how we offer Ganges water back to the Ganges river.

But Jaggath Seth was so proud that when he was donating
the money, his condition was for the Pandas to spend this one lakh rupees in one day for Lord Jagannath.

During that time everything was cheap so the Pandas didn’t know how to spend this huge amount of money in one day. They wanted to spend a little daily but Jaggath Seth didn’t
