1/ #FloodWatch in Northeast US

Flash flooding has occurred in southern New York, mainly in Highland Falls. Now, the threat has moved to Vermont, posing the biggest risk since 2011's Hurricane Irene brought major floods statewide.
2/ The Catskill Mountains in southern NY and the Green Mountains in VT have experienced the most severe impacts, with more than 5 inches of rain in 24 hours. Vermont’s capital, Montpelier, is under several feet of water from flooding on the Winooski River.
3/ River flooding will continue across New England through at least July 13th. We are currently producing an analysis for this event.
