QL!Bkg falls in love with the unwanted guest that crashes through his window & turns his peaceful island-life upside down

or

PH!Izuku is forced to take a vacation but decides to enjoy it without revealing his identity -> chaos?

#SFW | #dkbk | #bkdk | fluff
Katsuki is happy with his life.

It's calm but purposeful. When he was still a teenager he wanted to get away from the small, isolated island he lives on.
Traveling around, discovering himself and the world, but now in his mid-twenties, he discovers peace and harmony in his homeland.

The days may be the same and nothing particularly exciting happens, but that didn't bother Katsuki anymore.
He enjoys being in nature and around his three goats and runner ducks, tends to his little garden, hikes, swims, and simply does whatever he wants.

However, nothing strange happens is seemingly a lie.
Because one day a man crashes through his window and shakes Katsuki's quiet world.

Little does he know yet, he’s about to shake the world of the stranger even more.
“What the actual fuck!” Katsuki swears as he holds an empty cup, the hot herbal past contents splattered over his white shag-pile carpet, after he jolts in surprise.

He stares at the figurine that rolled onto the floor and over the glass shards, groaning.
Then Katsuki's eyes travel up to the huge hole in the side of his little beach cottage. “WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK.”
Wood and glass lay around and now the wall turned into an unwanted floor-to-ceiling panoramic opening, that gives away a view onto the tranquil beach and the calm sea behind.

With rage boiling up, Katsuki stalks over the shards and lightly kicks the unwanted guest with his foot.
“What the hell is your problem!”

The stranger groans again. Green curls are decorated with sharp pieces of broken glass, dangerously. Blood drips onto the floor.

He rolls onto his back awkwardly, glass crunching, revealing Katsuki the most beautiful face he's ever seen.
Blood runs from a small cut on the temple down his rosy cheeks, which are dotted with thousands of little brown freckles like the starry sky on a moonless night.
A small dimple forms on his right cheek as the stranger smiles up at him and oh fuck the smile completely disarms Katsuki.

It's warm and radiant, and an unfamiliar feeling surges through Katsuki's stomach like a lightning bolt, lighten everything up on fire.
"I'm sorry! I just—" The stranger opens his eyes and that's it for Katsuki.

The absolutely inhumanly beautiful emerald eyes bore straight into Katsuki's soul and he throws the cup at the stranger in pure shock, knocking him out cold.

***
In retrospect it was absolutely unnecessary to throw the cup, the man didn't seem to pose any danger, and this fact gnaws at Katsuki the entire time until the stranger woke up from his involuntary sleep.
With difficulty - because he’s fucking heavy - Katsuki heaves him onto the sofa and discovers that he clutches a small kitten to his chest.

Judging by the color of the fur and the collar, that must be the old hag's cat from down the street.
Whatever happened, but as soon as the stranger loosens his grip, she bolts away.

Ultimately overcome with guilt, Katsuki begins to carefully remove the glass from the thick curls.
Quite involuntarily he realizes that they are not only lush mossy colored, but also light green like fresh grass, yellow like the ripe grain, and blueish like the lagoon behind the rocks.

Depending on how the light hit them.
Beautiful, he would say, if he ever admits he likes something. Katsuki brushes one of the curls out of the stranger's face.

It vaguely seems familiar. The hair, the cheeks . . . Whatever.
After the cut is patched up - and does the idiot really snore like he's at a fucking spa treatment? - Katsuki starts to sweep the floor, not bothering to be quiet out of spite.

He collects wood and glass, sweeps them into a bucket, and throws them away.
He cuts himself once, but that's not too bad.

The stranger slowly finds his way back to consciousness as Katsuki surveys the damage to the wall, palms pressed into his hips.

“Urggh.”

Katsuki turns around. The greenie pushes himself onto an elbow.
He lifts a hand to his bandaged head. “What happened.”

“Took you long enough.” Katsuki barks and ignores the fact, that he is the one who sent him to dreamland in the first place.

Green eyes find red ones and Katsuki jolts indiscernible upon their intensity. “Wh-what?”
“Knocked you out cold, after you crashed through my wall.”

“Uhh?”

“Can’t be careful enough with strangers that don’t know how to use a fucking door.”

Greenies eyes drift to the big ass hole in the wall. “Oh no!”

“Fuck, yeah. /Oh no./”
“I’m so sorry.” He tries to get up but fails miserably.

Katsuki watches as he topples to the ground with a huff and arches a brow as he gets to his feet without missing a beat. Impressive.
“I’ll pay for it. I’ll repair it. I’m so sorry. I didn’t want for your house to get damaged.” He rambles. “Really. You have to believe me.
"There was this cat on the tree nearby and I jumped up but actually miscalculated the momentum and I maybe put a bit too much strength into that -”

“Jeez, stop that! What the fuck is wrong with you?”

Greenie ducks his head. “I’m sorry.”
Katsuki looks down at him, as he considers him with narrowed eyes. “You’re not from here.”

It’s more of an observation than a question. Katsuki knows everyone who lives on the small island.

“N-no.” The stranger scratches the back of his head. “I'm on vacation . . . sort of.”
“On vacation? Here?”

“Yes.”

“Tsk, whatever. Have anything else to do?”

Greenie tilts his head, a puzzled look sparkles through these freaking huge eyes. “Mh?”

“Because: Congratulations. You’ll spend your vacation helping me to plug that hole.” Katsuki points at the wall.
“Of course! Of course!” The stranger boobs his head. “Don’t worry. It will be as good as new in no time.”

“I hope so, stupid Deku.”

“My name is actually Izuku.”

“Whatever.”
TBC

>> I swear it's just fluff and not a lot of plot but I wanna give the boys a loooot of cute scenes to enjoy life.
and sorry, I'm still feel a bit rusty with uploading anything hahaha. Hope you enjoyed it so far.
Katsuki still calls him Deku, and absolutely /not/ because the nickname casts a beautiful blush onto freckled cheeks.

No, Izuku is not only pretty but also extremely strong. Baggy clothes only barely keep his posture hidden.
Broad shoulders, strong arms, marked with scars Katsuki doesn't ask about, and oh those thighs.

They would probably be able to unceremoniously split a tree stump in half.
Katsuki needs to drink plenty of water to stay hydrated as Deku pulls his stupid, limited edition All Might hoodie over his head like the freaking nerd he obviously is and jumps into action.

Apparently, his quirk must be some kind of body strength booster.
Green lightning crackles all over his torso and arms whenever he lifts an especially heavy beam with ease.

Katsuki has to gulp a few times to not salivate on the spot.
They consult a handyman, who looks extremely disturbed at the big hole.

Deku just scratches the back of his head in embarrassment and smiles nervously.

The expert thinks they have to pull out the entire wall, rebuild it and install new support beams.
He’ll supply them with the materials, but that'll take a day on the island.

Until then, Deku and Katsuki clean up chipped wood and debris.

And the day just flies by in the blink of an eye.
As the sun starts to dip down at the horizon, drowning at the edge of the calm ocean, the two of them sit down on the porch to look over the beach.

Katsuki opens the two beers he brought from the fridge.

“Thanks.” Deku takes the beer with a nod.
Katsuki drops down beside him and opens his bottle at the edge of the wooden porch.

“So,” He takes a sip, and the fruity bitter drink prickles down his throat. “What brings someone like you to our godforsaken island without a plan?”
Deku struggles a bit to open up his own bottle and after a few seconds of fruitless attempts, Katsuki snatches it from his surprisingly crooked fingers and opens it in one swift motion.
“What?” He teases upon Deku’s resigned expression. “All these muscles and can't open a shitty beer?”

Deku blushes. “I don't usually drink.”

“What a shame.” He takes another sip and eyes the other man out of the corner of his eyes. “So?”
Deku stares out onto the sea, expression unreadable and Katsuki thinks he hasn’t heard him but after a few tense seconds Izuku speaks up again.

“I’m on vacation.”

“Shouldn’t you be exhilarated or some shit?”
The gentle sound of waves, dragging over the sand accompanies Deku's deep sigh.

“It’s not a voluntary vacation.” He pulls his bottom lip between his teeth. “I was forced to take it.”

Katsuki scoffs apon the miserable expression on Deku’s face.
“Others would be fucking exhilarated anyway.”

Deku abruptly turns his piercing green eyes towards Katsuki. “I love my job.”

Katsuki hesitates for a few seconds before he turns away with a chuckle. “You’re weird.”

“I’ve been told so.”

Silence.
Only the screeching of seagulls and the monotonous murmuring of the waves broke the gentle calmness of the evening.

Crickets chirp in the bushes and occasionally they hear one of Katsuki's goats scream.

“Actually,” Deku speaks up again. “This is my first vacation ever.”
Katsuki chokes on his beer. “What the fuck?!” He sputters.

Deku eyes him worried as Katsuki pounds his fist against his sternum to force the booze out of his lungs and air back into them. “What the fuck.”

“Are you alright?” Deku sounds concerend.
“I’m the fuck /not/ okay.” Katsuki chokes out. “You damn nerd.”

“Oh, can I help?”

“Actually, yeah.”

“Yeah? Tell me.”

“Yes, I will give you the best vacation someone’s ever experienced.” A challenging eagerness glittered in Katsuki's eyes as he met Izuku’s dull ones.
“I'll pop your stupid vacation cheery and I’ll make you forget your stupid fucking job.”

“Oh.”

“Just watch me, nerd.”

They stare at each other, caught into a spell that doesn't make either of them avert their eyes.
Captured in this very moment on an ordinary night on the island.

That weird feeling is back, tugging at Katsuki's stomach.

He doesn't really know if he likes it yet.

But he's not motherfucking Bakugou Katsuki if he doesn't get to the bottom of it.
Suddenly a hint of shock flickers in Izuku's eyes and the spell breaks like a soapy bubble in the wind.

“Well. I don't have a place to stay yet.” He scratches his undercut hair on the back of his head again.
Seems like a habit whenever he got nervous or embarrassed or some shit. “Do you know a B&B nearby?”

Katsuki laughs out loud. “B&B? How in bed and breakfast? There's nothing like that here. But you can crash at my place.
You still have a job to do anyway, so the commute to work is quite short.”

“Mmm okay.”

“I have a couch, you've already met it.”

“It was comfortable.”

“I know. My couch is the best.”

“I wouldn't say tha-.”

“My fucking couch is the best.”

“OK.”
Izuku smiles and Katsuki notes it as a total success.

He would drag that enchanting sparkle back into those ever-so-green eyes, no matter what the cost.

***
“You have to bend your knees a bit if you want to have a secure footing.” Katsuki barks and slaps Deku's lower leg in order to make him crouch down a bit.
He’s standing waist deep in the shallow waters, feet planted in the soft sand and one hand on the surfboard on which his uninvited guest stands on shaky legs, trying to find his balance.

“I'm trying!” Deku stresses through clenched teeth, brows crunched in concentration.
“Try harder!”

The first night at Katsuki's beach cottage had been relatively uneventful.

The two had watched the sun go down and talked about this and that until the clear starry sky stretched over the firmament and Katsuki's bedtime was long overdue.
At exactly five thirty in the morning, he had thrown the giant nerd out of bed, or rather off the couch, and forced him to join him on his daily morning run.
Izuku hasn’t even lamented but demonstrated surprising stamina, easily keeping up with Katsuki despite struggling on the loose sandy ground.

After a vital breakfast of eggs and bacon, they went on and quickly feed his animals.
At first Deku was rather hesitant, anxious the goats might bite him but once the ice was broken they weren't separated from Greenie anymore.

Deku's giggle echoed over the garden and Katsuki leaned against the veranda, watching with a content smile.
Soon after, Katsuki had to go to work and Izuku decided to join him.
And five hours of children's surfing lessons later, it’s the giant clumsy man's turn.

In the flat, clear sea, Izuku learns how to surf.

“And now the take-off again. Go on.”
Izuku lays down belly-first, hands on either side of the board.

His tounghe peaks out between his lip in his deep concentration as he pushes himself up, pulls his legs under his chest, and stands up on shaky legs.

He wobbles, but he’s standing.
“That’s it, nerd,” Katsuki says and pushes the board over the water nonchalantly.

Deku yelps in surprise and looks over his shoulder, startled. “Ka-achan?”

Katsuki laughs, paying that slaughter of his name no mind.
“Feel the water, Deku. Feel it under your board. and you’ll glide over it just fine.”

He walks a few steps behind, showing the water away with his strong hands to get through more efficiently. “Yeeah. just like that.”

“Katsuki. Kacchan! I’m surfing.”
Izuku laughs and it does weird shit to Katsuki’s heart. “Look!”

“I see it, nerd!”

Izuku waves his arms into the air as his board glides over the gentle water easily.

Katsuki holds his breath . . .
and just as accepted the glee makes Izuku lose his balance and the stocky man topples over to the side, splashing into the water with a surprised yelp.
Katsuki tobbles over, laughing and it's not long before Izuku reappears on the surface, curls drenched and hanging in his face, spluttering and gasping for air.
He heaves himself over the board and shakes his head like a wet one and Katsuki can't help but think that's sexy as hell.

The water droplets reflect the sunlight and even though he has just fallen, Izuku's face shone with euphoria.

"I want to do this again!"
Katsuki's laughter ebbs into a soft giggle. "Let's go then."

At the end of the day, Deku manages to paddle out on his own and even successfully dipped through a wave.
When he finally stands on the board and takes his first (small) wave, he laughs wildly and freely, eyes beaming and arms outstretched.

Katsuki sits on the sand as Izuku jogs out of the water in an unabashedly sexy way with the board under his arm.
The board suits him like he's never done anything else.

"Did you see that?" He exclaims excitedly. "Did you see it, Kacchan?"

His euphoria turns to surprise. His eyes wide and his hand over his mouth as he notices his slip up.

“The nickname stuck, uhh?” Kacchan chuckles.
“I'm sorry.”

Katsuki in fact hasn't seen too much from his general surfing but rather enjoyed the nice view of well-defined washboard abs and broad shoulders.
He leans back on one hand and swings the other through the air to reinforce his point. "I'll call you Deku, so . . . I'll let that one slide."

Deku walks the rest of the way, carefully, putting the board next to them before sitting down with Katsuki.
He buries his toes into the warm sand. “That was so much fun.”

Katsuki smirks at him. “I know."

“And you get money for doing this?”

“Naaa. Only during summer and occasionally on weekends. The need for a surf instructor is not really that huge here.”
“Oh, so how do you get money?”

“I’m working at the beach bar and as a hiking guide now and then.”

Katsuki scoops a handful of sand into his palm only to let it trickle through his fingers slowly.
Izuku falls back on the sand, crossing his arms behind his head, and closes his eyes to enjoy the sun. He’s taking a deep breath and exhales through his nose.

“So you're saying you're actually relaxing here on this beautiful island, far away from the real-world drama?”
“We also have our little problems here, but basically . . . yes.”

“It still feels like I'm in another world. I didn't think it would be so easy to turn my mind off.”

Katsuki looks down at the man next to him.
He only knows this man for one day but it feels like an eternity after one day at the beach.

He wears teal-colored swim shorts that reveal stocky little but thick legs. His torso is outrageously Thor-like. Steeled and not an ounce of fat.
But scars mark the soft complexion that’s littered with freckles, from deep nicks to fine lines.

His right arm looks particularly bad, an entire layer of skin appears to have simply been burned away or torn out, leaving behind an ugly, reddish scar.
Katsuki wants to touch them, to feel the marks of Izuku’s life under his fingertips, his struggles, and his missions, but he holds back. He doesn't even ask where he got them from.

He has a guess, though.

“My boss basically had to force me into this vacation.” Izuku continued.
“I've never taken days off.”

“Never?”

“Never. Ever since I graduated from school . . . I worked. Every day and even on the holiday.”

“Haaa?” Katsuki exclaims turning around to look at Deku straight on.

“What the fuck? How old are you anyway?”

“Twenty-six.”
“Twenty-fucking six years old and you never, like never in your whole 8 years of work-life took one day off?”

Izuku shook his head. “No, never. I couldn't allow myself that.”

“What are you?”

“If only I know.”

“But honestly. That’s insane.
I know how it feels to work with idiots and have that feeling that the place will basically perish in flames if you’re not there but what the fuck. Not one single day? Do you have no hobbies?”

“My job is my hobby. I love it.”

“Yeah, but there has to be something else.”
Katsuki turns around, laying on his stomach, upper body propped up on his elbows to have a better look at Izuku that still basks in the sun.

“I mean, I love surfing but I also like hiking or running and calisthenics. I don’t mind my days off to do these things.”
“Yeah. Everyone says that. But …” He trails off.

“But what?”

“It’s complicated.” Deku opens his eyes and sits up in one swift motion. Katsuki eyes him pensively.

The silence stretches on but it doesn’t feel uncomfortable or weird.
Actually, Katsuki enjoys the presence of Deku. He exudes calmness and security. For some unknown reason, this upsets Katsuki not a bit.

Eventually, he takes a deep sigh. “Well, we should head back.
I guess the old Tanaka already dropped off a few of the supplies we need for the wall and I actually have a shift later today, so let’s get going.”

He jumps to his feet and brushes off the sand before grabbing to board to lock it away.
Izuku follows him, a brooding wrinkle across his forehead.

Katsuki presses his lips into a tight line. His mind races as he thinks about activities he can show him, to lift his spirits and get him to loosen up a little.

Just like he did back on that surfing board.
Katsuki also doesn't really understand why he's suddenly so willing to oblige someone, but he wants to help him. Help him to live his life a bit.

His heart flutters at the mere thought of tickling out that wonderful sound again.

Oh, what do you think? Why does Katsuki feel so /helpful/ all of a sudden heee?? 💚🧡
QRT's and comments are always appreciated. Love you guys and good night 😚💕✨
***

Katsuki offers Izuku to stay behind, enjoying the beach for a little longer or chill for the rest of the evening in his cottage but for a peculiar reason Izuku doesn’t want to be left alone and so he joins the blond during his evening shift over at Mighty Drink.
It's the middle of the week and only the regulars are visiting the cozy pub.

The old Aizawa and his husband Hizashi, as well as their hot friend Nemuri. They sit on the retro seating bench in the corner laughing and gossiping over their drinks.
Not that there is much to gossip about anyway.

Eijiro, Katsuki‘s stupid red-headed friend, accompanies him during the shift.

And where Eijiro is, there is Denki, too.
Katsuki almost regrets taking Deku with him, he doesn't want him to experience his idiot friends, pestering him with questions all night long.

“So, you're from the mainland?” Eijiro bends over the counter and looks closely at the stranger.
They don‘t see new faces on the island every day.

“Y-yes!” Izuku sits unnaturally straight on the bar stool, which is much too small for his juicy ass. “I live in Tokyo.”

“Tokyo?!” Denki intervenes, leaning way too close into Izuku's personal space from the stool next to him.
Katsuki interrupts the wiping of cleaned classes and angrily pushes him back over the counter. “Respect his damn space, dunce's face!” He hisses.

“It’s okay.” Izuku smiles, waving at Katsuki dismissively . “Yes, Tokyo.”
“How is it like?” Denki ignores Kastsuki and continues to besiege Deku with wide, curious eyes.
“Um, well. There are a lot of villains since it's so big and crowded. Also quite noisy most of the time which makes it hard to concentrate. And the road network is really intricate, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy to navigate around.”
Katsuki snorts. “Nerd.” He smiles.

Izuku blushes and ducks his head between his arms, looking at him shyly.

Meanwhile, Denki's eyes are getting bigger. “And are there, um, … brothels?”
Eijiro chortles out a wholehearted bark, Katsuki smacks Denki across the head with his damp wipe, and Izuku blushes even deeper, competing with the color of a sweet strawberry. Tasty.

“I-I don't know.” He stutters. “But probably?”
But Denki isn’t that easy to discourage. “Mmm. What about casinos? Shopping miles? Video game stores?”

“I think so?” It's a question, not a statement.

“Do you know anything about Tokyo?”

“Yes, I do!“ Izuku defends himself. „But only the important things.”
Denki throws his arms in the air in disbelief. “But they are important.” He yells.

Eijiro pats Denki’s shoulder. “Go out there and see for yourself.”

“But it’s so expensive to go there.”

“Then safe up, you idiot.”
Katsuki barks, cleaning a martini glass with aggressive strokes.

Denki drops his head onto the counter and Katsuki is sure he lost even more of his already sparse brain cells during the impact. “Saving money is hard.” He sighs.
“You can visit me whenever,” Izuku suggests bluntly. “This will save you the money for an overnight stay in a hotel. These are really expensive.”

Denki shoots out of his seat at lightning speed. “For real?”
“Yes, why not?” Deku shrugs and Katsuki feels a strange rage boiling up in his guts. The mental image of a stupid dunce face, visiting his stranger at his own home is one of those things Katsuki absolutely despises. He added this to his list only recently.
“First. You have to repair my fucking house, dipshit.” He barks in lack of a proper change of topic.

Izuku nods eagerly. “That‘s out of question, Kacchan. Your house comes first. I'll not leave before it's done.”
“Kacchan,” Eijiro mumbles in bewilderment, cheek heavily rested on one propped-up hand.

Katsuki shoots him a warning glare and Eijiro raises his hands in a defensive gesture, backing away a few steps.

Denki, though, doesn't get the hint.
"No way man. What did you just call him?" He looks in shock between the two of them. "You're dead!"

To his great surprise. Nothing happens.

Katsuki just continues to scrub his glasses, with an increasingly deep crease between his brows.
"It slipped out as he taught me how to surf and it … I don't know. Kinda stick." Izuku explains.
"You taught him how to surf?" Denki screeches and nearly jumps over the counter, both hands planted on the rough wooden surface as he leans over into Katsuki's space. "Bakugou! What?"

"Shut up, you idiot." Katsuki shoves the other man away with one big palm against Denki’s face.
He feels his own ears heat up.

Probably because of the thick, sweaty air in the bar.

Denki whines. "He never has time to teach us how to surf."

"I don't want to teach you, that's the difference." Katsuki barks back.
"That's even worse!"

"Shut up."
"Izuku!" Denki whips his head around to face a surprised Deku. "What is your magic? What kind of tricks did you use on him?"

Izuku raises his hands in surrender. "I'm sorry?"
It takes nearly half an hour to calm Denki down but the universe doesn't seem to give Katsuki any rest as another one enters the stage.

“Hey, kid.” Aizawa's voice echoes over. “Another round for us.”

“I’m not a kid, old man!” Katsuki barks back.

“And I’m not old, brat!”
“Don’t call me brat, you bastard!”

“Don’t call me bastard.”

Katsuki grumbles something under his breath as he finishes up their drinks and brings them over to them, placing them down on the table with way too much force.

“Thanks, darling.” Nemuri chirps and winks at him.
Katsuki flips her off.

“It’s always like this.” Eijiro laughs at Izuku’s horrified expression. “He has a foul mouth.”

“Watch your words, shitty hair. You’re next.”

“I’m /so/ scared.”

“As you should.”
“I didn’t know you talk like this to elders. You are so nice to me, most of the time.” Izuku’s eyes are big and there is no accusation in them. Just pure, innocent curiosity.

Everyone gets quiet for a second . . . and then hell breaks loose.
Denki nearly falls off his chair from laughing too hard and Eijiro disappears behind the counter with only a little effort to keep himself from falling to the floor.

Even the elders’ chuckling is heard from all across the bar. And Katsuki.
Katsuki blushes till under the roots of his hair, frozen in shock before his pretty face scrunches up into a horrible sneer and he starts yelling like a demon's span.

However, Izuku laughs wholeheartedly and that is worth every short-lived humiliation.
Katsuki will pay them back soon enough.

***

“Your friends are nice.” Izuku shoves his hands into the pockets of his stupid cargo pants, lifting his nose towards the starry sky. He takes a deep breath.
They're on their way back to Katsuki’s cottage four hours after the disaster, enjoying the nice stroll on the warm summer night.

“They’re idiots.” Katsuki huffs.

“But they’re nice idiots.”

“Yeah.”

Silence.

“I miss my friends, too.”

“Are they good friends?”
“Very much so, but . . .” He trails off.

“But, what?”

Another deep sigh. “We’re colleagues, too. We’re working in the same field, but they don’t understand.

“Mh?”
“They don’t understand why I’m working so much. I mean, they have families and children of their own now. How could they.”

“They moved on.”

“Yes.”

“And now, you’re all alone.”
Deku turns his head a bit to look at Katsuki out of the corner of his eyes before looking forward again.
“They're urging me to change my lifestyle and I know they mean no harm. . . but for whatever reason . . it hurts.”

“Yeah. That sucks.”

They walk in silence side by side for a few minutes.

“Are you happy here?” Deku asks eventually.
A soft smile tucks at Katsuki’s lips as he thinks about this. He is happy, yeah. He has his friends and family, his quiet life, and the jobs he loves. He traveled in the past but he always felt the happiest when coming back home.

“Yeah.” He answers.

“Must be nice.”
“I mean. You can enjoy this happiness too for the time being. You’re not done with your vacation yet.”

“I know. But it will be over soon.”

Katsuki looks at the other man for a minute. “Tomorrow.” He finally says. “I’ll show you something nice.”
“But we have to repair the wall!”

“That can wait a bit longer, I think. There isn’t any bad weather forecast anyway.” Katsuki shrugs.

“But-”

“No, buts. Be prepared.

“What are we gonna do?”

Katsuki smirks. “It’s a surprise.”
TBC

Oh, just a little bit of . . . character stuff. I'm not really happy with this part BUT I'm SO EXCITED for the next one hehehe! 😏🤩

What do you think they're gonna do??
“Good Morning, sunshine.” Katsuki barks and rips the curtains a.k.a. plastic tarp away from the panoramic window a.k.a. hole in the wall. “Get your lazy ass out of bed, nerd. We’re going for a hike today.”

Izuku grumbles and hides away under the fluffy blanket.
“Ten more minutes.” He mumbles and only a tuft of green locks peeks out of the nerd wrap.

“No.” Katsuki orders.

He stalks over to the makeshift bed and rips the cover away to reveal the sleepy Deku. “We miss the best time, if we don’t leave no-” He trails off.

Deku is naked.
Well, not butt naked but he only wears some super tight boxer briefs leaving absolutely /nothing/ to the imagination.

Heat creeps up into Katsuki’s neck and face and his ears suddenly start to burn.
“Well, hello there.” He teases and shamelessly lets his eyes wander over the delicious snack in front of him.
“Ahh. Kacchan! Stop staring.” He tries to snatch the blanket out of Katsuki’s hands to cover himself up but the blonde expertly moved the saving piece of feather-stuffed fabric out of his reach.

“Nahh. It’s worth starring.”

“Kacchan!”
“Why do you sleep naked if you don’t want someone to look at these abs, haaa? You’re built way too well.”

“Lots of training,” Deku mumbles as he awkwardly tries to cover himself with a stray pillow. “I work out every day.”

“Perfect.”

“What?”

“That’s perfect.”
“Why?” Deku sounds wary.

“Because.” Katsuki throws the blanket back onto the sofa. “I’ll take you on a hike today.”

Deku’s eyes grow big. “A hike?”

“Yep. Get yourself dressed. We’re heading out in ten.”

***
Thirty minutes later, Katsuki leads them over a small pathway deeper into the woods, up and up the mountain.

The dense green forest is warm and humid, but Katsuki doesn't care about the sweat on his skin as they walk through the lush green with defined steps.
It’s not a steep rise per se but the steady climb leaves a delicious burn in their thighs.

It’s one of Katsuki’s favorite routes and as he woke up this morning, the need to bring Izuku up here overshadowed even the presence of the still gaping hole in his home.
Luckily there isn’t any storm forecasted . . . yet.

Interestingly enough, Deku is keeping up with him quite well.

Well, Katsuki isn't really surprised anymore, the man has shown again and again how fit and adaptable he is.
Katsuki's cheeks begin to burn again as he thinks back to his Adonis body.

“Where do we go?” Deku jogs up to him to walk beside him.
He's holding his ridiculously large yellow backpack on both straps, red sneakers almost expertly hopping over the scree and roots of the difficult forest trail.

The green hair sways in the wind and eyes shine excitedly. /What’s this about him?/
Whatever it is, it fuels Katsuki to do his best, aim higher, and give Deku the best day ever.

Crazy.
“We follow this path, to the top of the mountain. From there you have a perfect view over the island. No one goes there except me, because the track is difficult and exhausting.” He smirks. “But you can do it.”
Deku laughs. “Yes, Kacchan! I’m excited to see your home from above.”

Katsuki blushes a bit at that and fastens his steps to hide his rosy cheeks from Deku. “Of course, it's amazing, dumbass.” He mumbles.
It only takes four hours to reach the top and as they step through the last trees, a breathtaking view over the island opens up.

Katsuki didn't promise too much.

The Platou is not particularly large, a bench stands there to offer rest to successful travelers.
Except for the Via Ferrata, the terrain drops off relatively steeply at the edge.

However, there is enough space to look around properly and the absence of trees at this height offers an unobstructed view in all directions.
Even though the island was obviously surrounded by the ocean it’s spectacular up here all the while the sun stands high in the sky, beating its heat down on them.

Deku jogs a little ahead before slowly spinning in circles, eyes wide and mouth hanging open.
“That’s amazing”. He exclaims before running towards a slightly protruding rock to have a better look. “You can see everything!”

“Watch out, idiot. The stones are not safe.”

“Kacchan.” Izuku ignores him.
Instead, he throws his arm forward and points to a distant point far below them. “I can see your house!”

He laughs wildly.

Katsuki's breathing hitches as Deku staggers slightly from the rapid movement.
But Deku's feet are rooted firmly to the ground, his eyes sparkle and he laughs and laughs until Katsuki finally joins in. He can’t help himself. That beautiful laugh is so contagious.

“Stupid nerd! Of course, you can see my house.”
Deku turns around again, hands firmly clatching to his backpack straps.

“And there is Mighty Drink. Haha. It’s so tiny. Can I see your surf school, too? AH, yes. There is it.”
As he faces Katsuki this time with the most overjoyed expression ever witnessed by mankind, Katsuki loses control over his complete body.

Feet moving on their own, he steps forward, and reaches out for one big scared hand, to pull Deku in, who yelps in surprise.
Katsuki leans closer and captures cherry red lips in a soft kiss.

Sizzling electricity shoots through his body as he feels Deku's body heat pressing against him.

His head is silent but also working at lightning speed. It’s so much. Too much.

He carefully pulls away.
Izuku clasps both hands on Katsuki's shoulders, seeking an anchor and support. He's panting a little, cheeks flushed. Big eyes stare at him in bewilderment.

Katsuki grins and quirks an eyebrow. “What”

“T-Tha-!” Deku stutters. “That was unexpected.”

Katsuki frowns.
“You’re not feeling comfortable with that?”

“No, heavens. NO.” He shakes his head vigorously. “It was . . . nice.”

“Nice?”

“...mh.”

“So, another one?”

“Yes.” Deku has barely breathed out the words when their lips meet again.

This time hungrier, more demanding.
They explore their lips, and mouths, inviting a tongue in as if they have never done something else. Katsuki pulls the stocky man closer.
His hands travel up strong arms, tracing the hard biceps up to finally lace his arms around Deku's neck, playing with the short hair of the undercut.

He pulls him even closer and Deku melts against the embrace with a content moan straight into Katsuki's mouth.
The blond chuckles, not breaking the kiss.

He feels warm and safe and may have only met Deku two days ago, but a strange draw makes it impossible not to find him attractive.

An attraction that makes it impossible to not fall for him on top of a mountain.

Katsuki doesn't know how it happened, but eventually, they find themselves on their backs, comfortably lying in the soft grass, arm in arm, and staring up at the blue sky.

White fluffy clouds chase each other from east to west.
Little cloudy sheep that romp up there in freedom.

It’s calming and beautiful, and while it looked very different two days ago, Katsuki can’t imagine a more beautiful place to be right now.

“That was unexpected,” Deku repeats eventually.
His arm is firmly placed under Katsuki’s head, fingers tracing over his biceps where they reach around his shoulder. “I didn’t expect my unintended Vacation to go this way.” He chuckles softly.
“Well, you crashed through my wall. /I/ expected, I’ll explode/your/ ass back to mainland.”

Another soft chuckle. Katsuki turned his head a bit.

“How long’s your vacation anyway?”

“Dunno. They just said, get the hell outa here, you’re on vacation now.”
Katsuki stares at Deku’s profile but he doesn’t look like he’ll continue his story anytime soon. So Katsuki decided to be a bit noisy.

“Wanna talk about it?”

Silence, Deku’s expression straight and unreadable. That’s a first. The nerd always seems so easy to read.
Katsuki turns his head back to continue staring into the sky.

“I messed up.”

“Mh?” Katsuki isn’t sure if Izuku said something.

“I messed up during a mission.”

“...”
“I was exhausted . . . tired . . . and wanted to storm into it right away. I wasn't clear-headed enough and . . . yes.”

“So you overworked yourself and made a mistake. Happens to the best of us, I think.”

“No.” Deku’s voice is uncharacteristically stern and acrid.
“/I/ messed up and people died out there. They died because of me. I am the one responsible and I can never make up to it.”

He turns his head and faces Katsuki, his eyes are hard, almost pleading as if he desperately wants Katsuki to understand and believe him.
Red eyes are fixated on green ones and for a long second non of them says a word.

Then Katsuki nods his head onces. Slowly. Assuring. And Izuku’s shoulders sag in visible relief.
“I went to every funeral and commemoration and . . . and I apologized even though I know it's irrelevant. Their loved ones will never come back.” His voice is small and shaky. “They’re gone forever because I-I couldn’t stop that stupid vil-person.”
“Listen, Deku. I don’t know anything about your job, or this mission but what I do know is that you’re not responsible for their deaths. You just did your fucking job and as long as you didn’t knived them down with your own hands you’re /not/ the one to blame.”
Deku takes a breath just to answer back but Katsuki simply talks over him.

“You might have been too slow, you might have been overworked or tired but who can promise you that it would have been any different if you were in top condition? huh?”
He sees a tear tracking down freckled cheeks. Angrily, Katsuki wipes it away.
“You’re not responsible! That /person/ that decided to tear down that building with all the people in it is responsible.”
As Deku presses a scarred hand over his face to hide his leaking eyes, Katsuki sits up.

Leaning on one propped-up hand, he looked down on Deku. He tries to gently prie away his hands from his face.

Deku’s eyes are red and swollen.

“Listen to me, Deku.” He says firmly.
“There's no point in dwelling on the past forever. Get stronger, better, and next time you're fast enough. What's lost is gone, you can't bring it back. So don't lose yourself on the path to healing.”

Deku looks up at him, sniffling a few times.

“Kacchan’s right.”
He finally says. “I have to do better.”

Katsuki ruffles his unruly curls before plopping back down on his back.

“But remember what caused the incident. You have to watch out for yourself. Treat yourself better and take time for yourself, too.”

“That’s hard.”

“Idiot.
I’m here now, I’ll beat you if you start slacking off again.”

“Please don’t beat me…”

“Then don’t overexert yourself.”

“I’ll try.”

“No. Just do it.”

“Okay…”

“Good boy.” Katsuki tilds his head to look at Deku.
A flabbergasted look seeps through green eyes all the while he slowly but steadily turned red again.

“Tsk.” Katsuki chuckles, turns his head around, and closes his eyes. “Nerd.”

They stare at the sky for another minute. Maybe it's been ten. Who knows.
Time seems meaningless in each other's company, flying by without feeling boredom or discomfort.

Katsuki is sure Deku has nodded off at some point. His breathing is calm and steady.
He carefully lifts his head off of his comfortable pillow on Deku's shoulder and peaks up at the nerd's face.

His eyes are closed, long lashes resting on freckled cheeks.

But as soon as Katsuki turns his head they flutter open slightly and radiant green peaks through.
"What?" Deku asks with a humorous tone, lacing his dark tenor.
"Nothing. Just staring."

Deku chuckles. "Like what you see?"

"Yeah." Katsuki breaths.

Deku pulls his lower lip between his teeth, seemingly fighting with himself. Eventually, he speaks up again. "Katsuki.
I have to tell you something."

Katsuki interrupts him. "Wait. Let me first."

"What?"

"Still can't believe it."

"Can't believe what?"

"That my favorite Pro Hero crashed through my fucking house."
Katsuki holds his breath and studies Deku's face closely, eager to see his reaction.

At first, Deku smiles, but then Katsuki's words sink in fully and he sits up so fast, that Katsuki is thrown off his shoulder.

"What? You /knew/?" He shrieks.
Katsuki rolls over the floor laughing. "Yeah." He chokes out. "We may be living on an island but not on the dark side of the moon."

Izuku slaps him softly on the shoulder. "You're such a dick sometimes. I was just about to tell you, you ruined it." He pouts.
"I'm sorry." He giggles before looking at Deku with a serious expression. "I knew you would come clear eventually. You're just too honest to lie to me any longer but…" Meaningful pause. "I win."

"What?"

"I discovered your secret." He laughs devilishly.
"It's not a secret if you knew all along."

"Doesn't matter. I won."

"You're unbelievable." Deku scolds and tackles Katsuki to the ground again.
They roll over the soft grass, laughing and engaging in a play-fight, till Deku wins this round by capturing Katsukis lips again, shutting him up for good this time.

The sun is about to dip down again as they make their way back to Katsuki’s cottage.

That evening Katsuki doesn’t let Izuku sleep on the couch but they cuddle up in his own kingsized bed.
Deku puts him down politely at first, fucking gentlemen, but Katsuki insisted, and here they are.

The next three days are fairly similar.
Katsuki goes to work and they spent their free time roaming the island, going diving, swimming, do more hiking, or just sitting in the garden, playing with the animals, and talking.

They talk a lot actually.

And their days are filled with fun experiences.
What they ignore for the time being is . . . the hole in the wall.

None of them brings it up or talks about it.

It’s safely secured behind a plastic tarp so at least keep the insects away. Katsuki knows.
The faster they repair this construction site the faster Izuku has to leave and even though he never says this out loud he knows it was true.

And Izuku knows that, too.

One week turns into two, two weeks into a month and soon enough two months went by.
They had to swipe down the floor four times due to heavy rain and at some point, Mr. Tanaka just started to build at least the construction beam.

/”To prevent the house from collapsing on top of your lovesick heads!”/ He lamented and Katsuki and Izuku let that one slide.
In the end, he built the whole wall.

Only the window was missing, still wrapped up with the plastic tarp.

So . . . it isn’t finished after all.

Even the gossip of the little town, that flamed up the first few weeks had died down already.
The island's citizens couldn’t believe their eyes and their grumpy, forever-single surfer boy was spotted making out with a hot beauty from the mainland.

And that this hottie stayed at his cottage … and apparently never left.
Izuku and Katsuki became a package deal and Katsuki liked that very much.

He never imagined even in his wildest dreams, that he’ll ever become such a sappy romantic.
But here he is, plugging Deku’s favorite flowers from his garden to surprise the stupid dumbass with a nice fucking bouquet.

“Hey.” A gruff, unknown voice pierces through the peaceful background noise of the garden. “You!”
Katsuki looks up, still crouching beside especially beautiful pansies.

“Hahh?” He stands up, bouquet in a tight grip. “Who are you extra and what are you doing in my fucking garden?”
The stranger, that ducked under the arc that leads into the garden, is big, way bigger than Katsuki, towering maybe even two feet above him. His head is shaved and his piercing black eyes set Katsuki on edge.

He isn’t from the island, in fact, Katsuki had never seen him before.
“What do you want?”

The stranger smirks, dragging one gigantic hand over his square, bare face. Somehow his features feel familiar.
“Ahh.” His voice is dark. “I came to bring Hero Deku a present. But -” He steps closer. “I guess I found something way better to gift him.”

“What the fuck are you talking about? Get fucked.” Katsuki pushed his feet into a wider stance. This whole dude gives him the chills.
The enormous bicep is tattooed with weird, swirling images, and he only wears a simple, old worn-out tank and jeans.

He takes another step.
“Stop right there.” Katsuki barks, pointing at him with one hand. “This is private property, you fucker. Leave now or I drag you away with my own hands.”

The man chuckles. “Where’s Deku.”

Katsuki frowns and anger bubbles up inside of him.
Not only does he just walks over his lawn like he’s fucking invited to do so but he also ignored him.

Besides that, he just can’t place where he had seen that fucker before.

“He’s not here asshole.” Deku went to the supermarket only a few minutes ago.

“Oh. That’s even better!”
“Hah?”

“Because when he comes back I’ll gift him with your head.” The stranger stretches his hands in front of him and just as a dark matter expands from his wrists, enveloping the whole garden into darkness, Katsuki remembers where he has seen his face before.
It belongs to the villain Deku fought before he was sent on vacation. The villain, that killed innocents.

The villain, who sent Deku into a spiral of self-hate, regret and guilt.

Katsuki can’t even say another word as the dark matter encases him and everything turns black.

Izuku is happy.

He got all the ingredients for a spicy Katsudon he wants to surprise Kacchan with, later that day.

He knows the blond loves all things spicy.

That kind of spice that other people made sweat salty waterfalls and cry all over their meals.
But Kacchan loves it and Deku will endure any kind of pain for him. Of course, he’ll make another serving with less spice so he’ll not die on the spot.

His steps are light as he bounces down the street, back to Kacchans cottage.
But as Izuku strides through the ivy-covered arch leading to the backside garden, a well-known uncomfortable feeling tugs at his nerves.

Why is Danger sense acting up?

That can only mean one thing! Kacchan’s in danger!
Izuku drops the grocery bags to the ground and runs into the garden, mind on high alert.

His head whips from left to right to scan his surroundings.

At first, he can’t see anything, the silence is deafening.
But then Izuku spots the mindlessly discharged bunch of flowers, that lie on the soft green grass near the little step stone path.

A /bouquet/?

A sudden rattling pierces the silence and a distinctive flood of curses reaches Izuku's ears.

It comes from the house!
Izuku dashes towards the back door and rips it open in one swift motion.

“Kaccha-!

The word gets stuck in his throat when he sees the picture that’s unfolding in front of his eyes.
“You *beep* idiot. You stupid *beep* of an extra think you can stomp your way into my garden with your filthy dirty boots, you *beep*.”
A man lies on the hand-woven kitchen rag, whimpering and shaking, and rolled up into a fetal position whilst protectively holding his head between his arms.

He mumbles something like, sorry, I’m so sorry.

And Kacchan?
Kacchan stands over the man like a dark deity of death itself, one foot planted onto the man's flank, fuming and all ruffled up as he swings a large pan in his hand.
“You’re such a low piece of *beep*. What have you thought haah? Only because I’m quirkless you can come here and -”

He's ever interrupted in his rant when he hears the door swing open and the pan swings dangerously in Izuku's direction.
His gaze is terrifying, and even Izuku takes a step back as a precaution, holding his hands up in defense. “Shit, Kacchan. It’s me. What is going on?”

Kacchan looks at him for a second, his firey lava eyes burning straight into Izuku’s soul.

They’re wild and blistering.
Then a flash of recognition flickers through them and his features instantly smooth out.

“Deku, *beep*. I thought you were the backup of this stupid moth-*beep*.”

He kicks the man in front of him, who moans in pain.

Izuku is horrified. What the hell happened here?

“Kacchan!
What happened here?”

“Tsk. This idiot thought it was a good idea to come by, stomp through my garden like a freaking gnu stampede, knock me down to take me hostage, and dared to threaten you.”

Izuku points at himself dumbfounded. “Me?”
“Yeah. He said he’s the villain who you saved the people from during your last mission!”

“The villain?”

Katsuki presses his foot against the man's shoulder and rolls him over.

As he lays there on his back, Izuku can finally see his face.
He would recognize these square features and the defined brow everywhere.

Izuku’s breath hitches and he takes a careful step into the kitchen. “You-”

The villain opens his eyes and the dark black connects with green.
Izuku feels his heart beat faster as sizzling electricity dances over his skin. He doesn’t realize Katsuki taking a step back to let him get to the villain.

“You came here for what?” Izuku’s voice is dark and threatening.
How dare he came into Kacchans cottage and threatened him, tried to take him hostage, and disturb the calming peace of their existence? Threatening Kacchan!

The man whimpered pitifully. “You…you-”

“Speak up.” Izuku roars.
“I wanted to kill them all, you foiled my plan everyone in this company should die for treating me like a piece of shit. You foiled it, hero. I wanted revenge…”

“And?”

“The boy, he’s quirkless. I thought…I thought.”
Katsuki gives him another kick. “You thought a quirkless /boy/ is an easy target. But surprise mother*beep*. I lived my whole life without a shitty quirk. I know how to defend myself. Especially from losers like you.”
Izuku looks up at his boyfriend and a fluttering warmth floods his whole body. This man is amazing. This man is /his/.
This man defeated and restrained a top-priority villain all by himself and even took it so far that Izuku doesn’t even recognize him anymore, lying on the floor, whining like a scared fawn.

He’s not sure if he really wants to know, what he did.
But damn, he really does love Kacchan.

“I love you too, idiot.”

Izuku blinks at Kacchan. “Whaa-”

“You’re mumbling idiot. Come’ere!”

Kacchan steps over the villain, places his pan on top of the counter along the way and pulls Izuku into a firey, deep kiss.
After a few heated minutes, Izuku detaches himself from Kacchan. “You really mean it?”
Kacchan smirks his deadly, beautiful smile. “I do.”

“I’m glad.” Izuku laughs. He palms Kacchans face with his hands and peppers his face with sweet short kisses. “Me too. I love you too, Kacchan.”

“Uhm.”

Izuku tilts his head. “What?”

“Where’s the villain?”

“Ahhh-Oh!”

***
They capture the villain again and Izuku keeps him secured with black whip before he calls his agency for support and the police.

Only half an hour later they see two dots appear on the horizon.
Kacchan really has trouble hiding his excitement as he meets Endevaur, Hawks, and Shouto.

Someone who doesn’t know him so well might not see it but Izuku smiled into himself all the time.
Kacchan’s sowl is perfectly set in place as he tries to act disinterested but asks subtle questions about their work all the time.

In the end, Izuku asks for an autograph he can gift Kacchan later.
More surprisingly though, Katsuki seems to be a bit wary of the third man that joined the Hero forces.

Shouto Todoroki. Whenever the dual-haired man addresses Izuku in his plain manner, Kacchan places himself surprisingly close to Izuku.
The Hero feels oddly proud and good about Kacchans obvious possessiveness.

Especially since he has now seen what he is capable of, how strong, fantastic, and wonderful he is. knowing it's his and vice versa feels amazing.
In the end, the three pros take the villain with them, say their goodbyes, and leave the island again.
And after the excited island population, that, of course, did not stay blind for this major event involving three - actually fourth - top heroes, go their ways, Izuku and Katsuki set off on their way home as well. Hand in hand, down the beach.
Ten minutes later, they both stand before the nearly finished wall, through which Izuku crashed a couple of months prior.

The plastic tarp is worn out from the harsh weather of the last few days.
It clearly will not work for much longer, especially with the weather getting colder now.

“What do we do now,” Kacchan asks. His hands are pressed into his slim waist, looking at the tarp with judging eyes.

“We don’t have another choice but to finally finish it.”

Silence.
“Does that mean you’ll leave soon?”

“That was the agreement.”

“Okay.”

Silence.

“Do you want to change that agreement, Kacchan?”

“No.”

“Oh. uhm …Why?”

“Because it would mean you’ll leave Hero work behind and you love your job. I don’t want that either.”
“Yeeah … But I love you, too.”

“That’s different.”

“Why?”

“Because … you’ll … fuck. I don’t know.”

“But I realized there is more to life than being a hero and maybe … maybe I can have both?”

Kacchan scoffs. “How would that work, dumbass…”
“Mainland is only fifteen minutes away … if I use Airforce and Float.”

“...”

“I could work on remote … “

“Tsk. You’re a freaking Hero! You can’t work from home. The villains are out there on the streets. In the big cities.”
“Actually, I already talked about this to Endeavor.”

Katsuki’s head spins around. “You did what?”

“Yeah. I asked him if there’s any possibility to stay in the agency, being a Hero all the while I live here with you.”

“... hm.
What did he say?” There’s a treacherous hope in Kacchan's eyes.
Izuku looks at the tarp again.

“He said, yes.”

“What?”

“He said yes.”

“I heard you, dumbass, but how is that even possible?”

Izuku chuckles.
“I stay a member of Endeavor’s agency but they’ve opened up a new operation area for me.”

“Which would be?”

“Well. A certain island seems to be in dire need of a Hero.” Izuku smirks at Kacchans baffled expression.
“And whenever it gets too hectic in the big City they can call me and I’ll be there in fifteen.”

“That sounds … great, actually.”

“I know.”

“And you’re really okay with it.”
“I am. I already made my choice.”

“You’re such a stupid dumbass.” Kacchan leans closer to Izuku.

“I know, but I’m your dumbass.” He pulls his boyfriend in, lips dangerously close.
“Damn right.” Kacchan presses their foreheads and noses together, staring into that ever-so-green emerald eyes, that changed his life so much. Kacchan chuckles softly. “Let’s fix that stupid window.”

It's not really a book but rather a small collection of pictures, neatly stacked into transparent foil.

One day Izuku spills milk all over his blanket as he eats his morning cereals in bed.

Katsuki has told him a hundred times already to use the godforsaken table like a normal fucking person but the little shitnerd never listens.
So the cozy cover has to go into the laundry and since Katsuki isn’t an asshole he shares his own with his clumsy boyfriend.

That night, Katsuki wakes up with cold feet.

He hates cold feet.
With an annoyed groan, he wants to yank the blanket back over his body but, to his utter surprise, his hand is empty.

Mind still fuzzy with sleep he reaches over again and pads the mattress, but there’s nothing.
